Monster Hunter Piano Covers

A quick piano play-through of the awesome flagship monster themes from the newest Monster Hunter game Generations! The themes are in the order Mizutsune, Astalos, Gammoth and finishing with Glavenus. Mizutsune was one of the hardest themes due to it's oriental style and all were tricky to recreate on the piano!

Beruna/Bherna Village Theme(Live Piano)

A quick piano play-through of the Yukumo Village theme from Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. It is quite a short theme but I tried my best to recreate the oriental style.

Yukumo Village Theme (Live Piano)

his is a live recording on piano of the heroic Monster Hunter Proof of a Hero theme. This was very difficult to learn to keep the style of the original piece, bearing in mind I use no music at all (I also had to relearn it in a new key!) I also decided to use a sharper sound on the piano by playing a lot heavier.

"Setting off Breeze" MH4/4U Opening Theme (Live Piano)

One of my favourite village themes with a lot of good memories for many hunters. A live recording on piano of the amazing Pokke Village theme back from the Monster Hunter Freedom series days, also seen in the new Generations. I play this in a slightly easier key I am more comfortable with!

Pokke Village Theme (Live Piano)

A live recording on piano of the Kokoto Village theme from the very first Monster Hunter game. This is the theme I grew up with playing the first Monster Hunter on PS2 back over 10 years ago and I have lots of memories here. This village is also seen in the new Generations which was so nostalgic for me, I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Kokoto Village Theme (Live Piano)

Thank you so much for all the great feedback to my piano covers and the coverage from the Official Monster Hunter Facebook and Twitter pages! This is a live recording on piano of Gore Magala's theme seen first in Monster Hunter 4. His theme is very mysterious and evil which was difficult to replicate when playing on the piano, but I tried to keep the melody as close as possible! I recorded this a whopping 6 times before I got the version I liked!

Ancestral Steppe / Kecha Wacha Theme (Live Piano)

This is a live recording on piano of the battle music from Phase 2 of the epic fight against Amatsumagatsuchi. I love Amatsu's theme it really reflects how it is a storm dragon always changing, from the  dramatic opening to the quiet motifs in the middle.

A live recording on piano of the daytime theme that plays in Moga Village. This was very difficult to play due to its key. It is a lovely theme that I think represents the nature of this small fishing village.

Here it is, the great pickle and his pickly goodness! His theme is very well-known and I think we can all agree that when a hunter hears it you know there's trouble. This theme was very interesting and challenging to play on the piano, please enjoy!

Monster Hunter Cooking Theme (Live Piano)

Here is the Nargacuga theme voted for by the last poll tied closely with Deviljho. This was one of the most difficult themes to play because it jumps around all over the place! I tried my best after so many takes and hope you enjoy it.

Having finally finished work for the holidays, here is the Arena Theme from Monster Hunter Generations! It is really upbeat and full of difficult rhythms. This took a long time to get right on the piano due to the many instruments the original uses, but I have tried my best to keep the melody as close to the original as possible!

MHX / Gen Arena Theme (Live Piano)

The winning vote, here is Teostra's rhythmic theme. This was really challenging to recreate on the piano because of it containing so much percussion. It was also really hard work for my left hand because of the constant movement, so my muscles are very sore! I've tried my best to make it sound as close to the original as possible!

A Happy New Year to all Melons and what better way to start 2017 than with the epic theme of Barufaruku from Capcom's upcoming Monster Hunter XX. This theme is incredibly fun to play and full of motifs that reflect the grandness and power of this elder dragon.
