Hilma af Klint’s No. 3, Youth is part of The Ten Largest (1907), one of the most ambitious and groundbreaking series in early modern art. The ten paintings, each more than three meters tall, explore the four great stages of human life: childhood, youth, adulthood, and old age. Af Klint believed these stages were not only physical but also spiritual passages, shaped by forces beyond what can be seen.

In Youth, she turns the complexity of adolescence into color and form. Large spirals, ellipses, and floral patterns sweep across the canvas in constant motion, suggesting the growth, vitality, and turbulence of this period in life. The palette of glowing oranges, deep violets, and soft blues creates a sense of rhythm and energy, while fine decorative lines and details remind us of the fragility that comes with transition. Together, these forms express both the excitement and uncertainty of stepping out of childhood and into the wider world.

Af Klint’s work here is not a literal portrait of young people, but a symbolic map of development. Drawing inspiration from natural sciences, spiritual teachings, and her own visionary experiences, she created a new kind of visual language. Her aim was to capture invisible forces the flow of energy, the cycles of nature, and the unseen dimensions of human growth.

Painted in 1907, The Ten Largest predates the fully abstract works of artists like Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Malevich by several years. These vast compositions show how af Klint was working at the edge of invention, combining abstraction with ideas of evolution, spirituality, and psychology. With Youth, she offers an image of life in motion overflowing with curiosity, potential, and transformation.

Today, Youth stands as a powerful reminder of af Klint’s unique vision. It demonstrates how abstraction can move beyond decoration or style to communicate profound human experiences. By translating the inner life of adolescence into color and form, af Klint challenged the boundaries of art in her time and opened a path for future generations of artists to explore the unseen dimensions of existence.

"ich würde gerne drei nennen, wenn ich darf, weil ich mich nicht entscheiden kann 🙈. Mit Sneakern auf Kies laufen, Katzenschnurren und das Öffnen einer Sektflasche."

Welches Set/ Welcher Track /Welches Album lief bei dir die letzten Wochen auf Repeat?
"Momentan läuft der Mellowcast von Pulli bei mir zuhause rauf und runter. So unglaublich schön! Der Track "Really That Simple" von Romain Dary lief aber auch mehr als heiß bei mir haha."

Wann hast du das letzte mal was gerade so mit "Ach und Krach" geschafft?
"Ständig! Ich schaffe es grundsätzlich nur mit Ach & Krach und blinkender 0-km-Anzeige zur Tankstelle. Das werde ich einfach nie lernen."

Was war da denn bitte los Samstagabend auf dem Speziale? Wir sind immer noch unglaublich dankbar und happy für diesen schönen Gig. Freund*innen und wilde Menschen so weit das Auge reichte. Es war das erste aber bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir zusammen gespielt haben. Neben Tagen voller Highlights auf dem MOYN war der Gig sicher eins davon. Danke an alle Menschen die mit uns gefeiert und getanzt haben. 

Nun viel Spaß beim Nachhören und nachfühlen…

14 Stunden Anreise und dann direkt auf den Floor, aufgeregt des Todes und dann an die Decks. Hab mich gar nicht getraut hoch zu schauen weil der Floor einfach so schnell so voll war. Hat bissl gebraucht aber hab dann durch diese mega Energie echt schnell reingefunden und dann auch so viel Spaß gehabt. Danke an alle die da waren! Hat mir sehr viel bedeutet ❤️

Dieses Festival und dieser Gig sind definitiv unter den Top 3 und wird mein Herz noch eine Weile füllen ✨

👽 Groovy Safari (Bremen / Germany)

Groovy Safari got his heart stolen 10 years ago by Zenonesque and Psygressive, which he first encountered in a hot morning of a free-party in the south(-west) of France. 
Since then, he's been digging festivals accross Europe in search of more of that music. 
Eventually, he found himself tripping-balls at the mighty MoDem's Swamp Floor, where he met Psytech, a genius fusion of Psygressive, Progressive and Techno. 
That's when he realized he had to play this stuff, in the hope of sharing it someday with his (current) hometown of Bremen. 
Which is precisely what he's been doing for the last two years as part of the Kuckuck Kollektiv and the Beyond Techno project.

Today's Safari will take the adventurous soul to the french corners of the Psytechno-Spectrum (or Savannah), where BPMs are high, psychedelia strong and influences to the Dark Progressive and Psytrance realms more than implied.
Throughout our journey we will observe wild creatures such as Neurolabz, Champirolls, Good Old Raoul, Amortalist, Captain Pastek or Tilda in their natural habitat.

Jaaa, was für eine Nacht! 🫶 10 Jahre Zwischenmiete – das war der Wahnsinn.

Hier ist der Mitschnitt meines Vorspiels für Township Rebellion im Artheater Saal (00:30–02:00). Es war mir eine besondere Ehre, nach diesem Set an die Jungs zu übergeben – selten war ich so aufgeregt. 

Für alle, die da waren – und alle, die’s fühlen wollen: Viel Spaß beim Hören.
