Local Action is proud to present the debut release by Finn.

A resident at Manchester’s Chowdown clubnight, Finn has divided his time between England and San Francisco this last year. His music blends the best of the US and UK, chopping up hip-hop and r’n’b samples in a 140bpm grime / r’n’g context, and like the best grime, footwork and jungle, he’s not afraid to sample from anywhere and keeps his chops rough and rude. If you've been to Boxed, you've heard this one - guaranteed.

An alternate history of Finn and Local Action: we did a Local Action takeover of Chowdown a couple of years back where Finn warmed up, we got stupid fucking drunk together and he sent us demos. Now we're here.

Wonder squeezes the milage out of his now classic 'what' riddim, roping in dubstep hero Caspa to provide the neccessary basswise refreshment to continue the anthems success for 2008. 'What' was a staple for the freshly established grime scene in 2004 in what could be called Grime's golden period, with a huge vocal version from Dizzee Rascal placing the track in the canon of classic grime. Caspa's 2008 update 4 years down the line unfortunately shows the scene has moved on little from the standard half step framework pioneered by Wonder, but nevertheless works a treat on a rammed dancefloor with technologically enhanced subs and the addition of a some ruff breaks in typically floor pleasing Caspa style. Very large indeed.
