Over the past few years, BNJMN has fostered a name for himself through rich slabs of intricately cut techno. Having offered up material to Delsin's 100DSR compilation series last year, he finally looms large with a proper debut on the label with a six-track EP, due Sept 22nd.

'Berth' really stakes out his intentions for the new record: wide-eyed and wild, it's a hugely inventive left-turn into hallucinatory technoid experimentation. What's more, this one airs with his new video too: a strange dreamwalk into the uncanny visual world of Jonathan Omer Mizrahi.

Took a bit of a break from demos and releases after extending the family with a cute little boy, but now we’re back with some of the best deep techno and house lined up for you! But first, something completely different.
Michele Mininni hails from the south of Italy and counts everything from post- and krautrock over new wave, house and disco amongst his influences. He’s been a DJ for years, but only recently released his debut EP on Optimo Trax in Glasgow. He immediately found himself on the playlists of Beats In Space and Rinse FM. We were literally blown away when he sent us his music and didn’t hesitate to release it although it’s not what you’re used to hear from us. It’s hard to describe ‘Endless Ceremony’. Epic, but not as you know it. Cosmic, definitely.
For the remix we thought of Rocketnumbernine. Two brothers with releases on Soul Jazz, Four Tet’s Text label and more recently an album on Smalltown Supersound. Currently touring with James Holden and  Neneh Cherry. Their remix could be described as almost dreamy electronica/idm.
We think this is a really special release. The following people already agree: Gavin Russom, Âme, Ripperton, A Made Up Sound, James Holden, Optimo, Deadbeat, Tim Sweeney, Locked Groove… First pressing on coloured vinyl!

Visionary and unclassifiable, Volt Compound is the musical history of Flat Nandez. Influenced by almost everything: house, swing, blues, techno, funk, but also television and poetry – Flat Nandez simply pursues an ideal aesthetic made of surprising contrasts. Raw and refined, his work integrates every kind of sound source with an impressionistic attitude. The interaction between man and machine encounters instrumentalism in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.

Flat Nandez aka Rafael Fernandez has Spanish and German roots and is based in Zurich. He is a one man band combining electronics with grooves from the 80s, 70s, 60s or even earlier with character that seems to disappear in music nowadays. As alternative to average digitalism, he captures the perfect fusion between acoustic, electric and analogue instruments. Music business and fame are not the main focus, Rafael is authentic and concentrates rather on groove and dirt.

For episode 028 we invited L/N/A. She is a Berlin based artist who “loves to collect and assemble all kinds of experimental, psychedelic sounds, found ones and homemade instant compositions. Presenting them to people and inspiring spontaneous contemporary dance - sessions on the dancefloor gives her great pleasure”.
Perfect conditions for a POOLcast submission. Challenging the listeners with something new and usage of distinctive material is one of the top priorities on the POOLcast agenda. Her work is fulfilling, impulsive, versatile and has an almost divining core. The mixture of instrumental pieces, mesmerizing voices, vivid objects and jazz excursions sounds like stories from the past and the corresponding demand of a new departure.
