After our first release via ZZK records 2 years ago, History of Colour, a collaboration project between El Búho and Barrio Lindo, returns with our second release, "Calidoso". The 4 track EP explores new sonic landscapes for us both, inspired by slow-dance and flitting between andean folk, marimba, electronica and organic sounds.

The music was co-created by Robin (El Búho) and Agustín (Barrio Lindo) in January over emails and Dropboxes between Buenos Aires & Mexico DF and mastered by our good friend Nicola Cruz based in Quito, Ecuador.

The artwork is a fragment of a gorgeous mural called called "Historia del tiempo" from Buenos Aires by the Argentine artist Elías Santis.

PrΛ.Λ.H - productor y lutier franco colombiano- en colaboración con Festival Nómade más ocho artistas europeos y latinoamericanos, han dado forma a “Chamada”, un EP de remixes del single del mismo nombre. Esta canción fue producida por Praah con la intención de unir varios continentes, integrando idiófonos (Sanza) por la parte africana, aerófonos japoneses (Hotchiku) y flautas y ocarinas por la parte de americana precolombina. 

“Chamada Remixes” avanza desde un sonido orgánico y suave, muy profundo, adquiriendo tintes electrónicos pulidos y progresivos. Evoluciona de manera natural, logrando generar nuevas texturas, gracias a las versiones de productores amigos con búsquedas sonoras complementarias. 

Así comienza a tomar forma concreta una familia musical fundada en el intercambio, el amor y el respeto. Chamada Remixes es la primera producción de una serie de trabajos colectivos que ya están empezando a gestarse y serán liberados de manera gratuita por plataformas de fácil acceso. 

Praah es productor y lutier franco colombiano, su búsqueda sonora es un río ancho conformado por la unión de dos vertientes: música tradicional y sutiles sonoridades electrónicas y Deep. 
Los remixes se fueron producidos por los artistas: Vruno (Chile) Pigmaliao (Brasil) RLHBSLCN (Argentina) Dandara (Suiza) Steffen Kirchhoff(Alemania) Trippin Jaguar (Holanda) y Matanza (Chile)

What a year! 

We met so many great artists, made a bunch of new friends and had one heck of a summer. 
Watching this community grow bigger made us want to create an appropriate picture of the things that already sprung from it and also of things to come. 

Trying to condense all the creativity that came to life during the past few months, we put together something that reflects our journey and features as many of the directions we're headed in as possible.

ElPeche is a São Paulo born, London raised artist who’s influences range from the classics of Brazil’s Tropicalia movement such as Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, to the Northeastern Brazilian Alceu Valenca, through to European electronic music artists such as Nicola Cruz. He has been producing music for the past 4 years and has recently released a number of edits and originals both independently and through TTR. His first EP with TTR was “Calorzito - EP”. 

Rosas Bandidas is the second ElPeche release on TTR and brings the collaboration of Artéria FM with poetry and vocals. The track came together through an overseas production process, the vocals were recorded in São Paulo and came together with the production in London during the past months.

Pleamar (Spanish for high tide) is the first collaborative release between Chancha Vía Circuito and El Búho for Wonderwheel Recordings, and stands as one of the most refreshing EP’s within the Latin American downtempo electronic genre. 

On this release the vision of both artists is united as one. This unity is reflected through “Real Fun, Wow!”’s artwork, presenting an image of a centered eye, reminiscent of historic drawings from tide studies. The representation of Earth, with a central circle surrounded by two ellipsoids that rotate and align in perfect harmony, mirrors the meeting of the two producers, the moment when the seawater reaches its apex and Pleamar occurs. 

Like a metamorphosis that - without knowing it - we had been waiting a long time for, the EP reconstructs Pedro and Robin’s encounters over the years. It transports us into the history of migrant sounds, the salvaged sound of floral jungles, high mountain forests and the ocean deep. We hear a sonic beauty filled out by deep personal stories - four humble and honest tracks that demonstrate the fusion of these artists and both them and the genre into new territory. 

Starting with “Oruga”’s deep ambience, dub atmospheres and space echo reverberations, the album follows this line of reverberated rhythms and relaxed percussion lines throughout, carrying us along with a pulsating, deep, natural tempo. “El Mago Georges”, perhaps the Pleamar’s jewel, is bursting with life - impactful depth and perfectly tuned melodies yet tribal and delicate at the same time. “Murga del Viento'' recalls another meeting of these two minds: El Búho’s much-loved remix of “Sueño en Paraguay” a beautiful track from Chancha Vía Circuito (“Amansará” 2014). Here the whistle meets the owl from the previous track and the two birds take us a step forward in this collaboration with chords superimposed on a haunting bass. The release ends with “Una Pulgada de Silencio”, a track of cosmic synthesizers, trickling water samples and the voice of argentine folk singer Gus Goncalves. Through Pleamar we come to find a much needed peace and clarity hidden beneath the rolling waves, a deep-sound escape to get lost in.
