Estamos en una nueva era, momento que muchos dicen ha llegado para conectarnos con la sagrada energía femenina y sembrar la semilla de curación a las energías masculinas heridas. Es hora de reconectarse con la energía madre y la sabiduría ancestral, dejar atrás los miedos y despertar todos juntos.

En ¨Cantos a la madre¨ cada artista presenta una visión del concepto de ¨madre¨ en su propio ¨canto¨, formando una compilación multilingüe que investiga el desarrollo de una nueva música electrónica en armonía con la propuesta lírica de diferentes culturas. Se incluyen canciones en lengua nativa de Sudamérica como el Quechua y experimentos musicales más inusuales en Alemán, Ukraniano, Hebreo y más sorpresas!. 

Con una numerosa presencia femenina más la invitación a trabajar de forma mixta entre mujeres y hombres, el disco es un intento de llevar la música electrónica un peldaño más allá, rescatando el uso de la voz humana y a su vez, reflexionar sobre este amplio y maravilloso concepto que es la madre, concepto transversal a todos los seres vivos de este planeta.  
Todas las donaciones en bandcamp irán directamente a los artistas, afectados por el cierre de todos los espectáculos en vivo. 

Esperamos disfruten este lanzamiento con sabor a folktrónica, downtempo, house y experimental, creado con mucho amor y corazón Latinoamericano para el mundo.

We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with mother energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.

In "Cantos a la madre" each artist presents a vision of the concept of "mother" in her own "song", forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical proposal of different cultures. It includes songs in the native language of South America such as Quechua and more unusual musical experiments in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew and more surprises!

With a large female presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, rescuing the use of the human voice and, in turn, reflecting on this broad and wonderful The concept of the mother, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

All donations on bandcamp will go directly to the artists, strongly touched by the closure of all live shows.
We hope you enjoy this release with a flavor of folktronics, downtempo, house and experimental, created with a lot of love and a Latin American heart for the world.

The São Paulo based collective, Sonido Trópico, have long been establishing themselves as a new voice to be heard within the latin-american scene.

They now take a big step forward in founding a Label. Their first official release, SONIDO TRÓPICO VOL. 1, contains 13 tracks that put into waves exactly what Sonido Trópico is all about. The Producers and DJs who's work appear on this first album have not only played at Sonido Trópico's already infamous parties, but have worked alongside Sonido's 4 Resident DJs (Spaniol, Nirso, Salvador Araguaya & El Peche) in bringing new life and energy to the Sâo Paulo scene. Together they have reinterpreted and expanded, beyond precedent, the horizons of electronic music within the ultra-creative scene in São Paulo.

Since WONDERWHEEL Recording's inception in 2004, Moreno Visini aka The Spy from Cairo, has been sending out dub- based electronic music that has created quite a Worldwide following. On his 3rd studio album under the name The Spy from Cairo, he switches his signature instrument, the classical Arabic Oud, to an electronic Oud which also reflects a transition in his sound throughout the album to a more cosmic & electronic dance- floor experience. The title, "Nothing New Under the Sun" reflects his constant call for people to be more united in this World rather than divided. As he says in the liner notes; "As time goes by, people never seem to learn from History, which we see repeating over & over again (and those in power seem to always stir the same old soup). I sincerely hope we wake up and see what really matters in this life and be together as one.... because all is ONE UNDER THE SUN."  

Written, produced, performed & mixed himself, the album also features some of his Brooklyn Gypsies band-mates Fatima Gozlar, Takuya Nakamura & Ilker Ciraci as well as the talents of Maalem (master gnawa musician) Ben Hassan Jaafer of the group Innov Gnawa on vocals. The album starts with a slow Oud intro backed by a heavy 808 kick to satisfy the likes of his growing Worldwide tribal female belly dance community. He then gives us some classic eastern dub with the tunes "Damascus Market Dub" & "Universal." The transition to the club dance-floor is displayed next with the funky cosmic disco based "Sahir" which has been a real hit from Ozora Festival in Hungary to the Symbiosis festival on the West coast USA. "Dub Shaabi" is a rhythm bending North African shaabi meets dub style production featuring Hassan Ben Jaafer on vocals saying "the Gnawa is coming & they bring good, positive, (sweet) things."Prophecy in Motion" & "When Giants Ruled the Earth" both come in with the disco dub beats that translate well with his string instrument melodies & solos. Next, you get a real cosmic electronic trip with "Ya Amar" & "Sirens of the Nile" showing his diverse Organic Grooves roots. Rounding off the album, "Cairo Tripper" drops some heavy mid tempo beats with apreggiating synths as the backbone for more of his top notch Oud playing.

‘Ermitaño’ germinated during the two months Michael Alfred Wagner AKA Biomigrant spent at the Fundación Tumac, a community school in Tumaco founded to recover and teach traditional music and dance in the Colombian south pacific. Set to the rhythms of Bunde and Currulao, the EP follows the iconic sound of the Chonta Marimba as it disembarks from its native coasts to navigate new currents, carried along by deep electronic pulses, gusts of wind instruments, and dreamscapes of water and concrete. 

‘La Utopía’ was inspired by a story of the Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano, questioning what role ideals play in our imperfect and complex world. 

‘Ciudad de Agua’ (City of Water) takes flight through the marimba of Jhon ‘Pitufo’ Cortés (from the band Plu con Pla), guided by the words of the legendary musician Gualajo, who describes the origin of the instrument in the sounds of the ocean and jungle, and imagines how the music would change within an urban context. 

‘Ermitaño’ (Hermit) reimagines a traditional ‘bunde’ as a deep, trap-influenced encounter between the voices of Barbacoa-born singer Cristina Cortés and Mike (Biomigrant), contemplating a long, solitary path and rejuvenating moments of collective celebration, culminating in a dubby flute line.
