I always have loved this song. When we recorded it for the album I'd literally finished it the night before, and we hadn't figured out the form or anything. It became this nice quiet emotional moment that really served it's place in the middle of the album. That being said, for the sake of the song as a stand alone moment, we wanted to have a recording of a well structured full band version. So we called up Chris Cubeta, and went back in at Galuminum Foil Studios to make this version. It's really fun to play live, because when we get to the ending of the full band version, a lot of our audiences just keep singing. This happened once or twice before the band just automatically jumped in for a refrain. I think it was Matt Racher, our UK drummer that brought us all back in for the first time. Now when it happens at shows, we let the audience sing it a few times, then all start playing again and have a sing along refrain. It always makes me really happy to share that truly organic moment with the crowd and the band.
