School funding has often be an overlooked topic and its very interesting to hear more about it, especially from someone so involved. I would be curious to know what effect Berea schools being an independent district within Madison has on the funding of both. Kentucky is weird about education, since the public is very adamant about support on some issues, but entirely ignores others. Its a very inconsistent system.
