Expert speakers include Monise Seward, a middle school math teacher in Metro Indianapolis, Dr. Fedrick Ingram, the secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, Joseph Edelin, an associate with the Black Teacher Project and former educator with 20 years of classroom experience, Sam Collins, the education reporter for the Washington Informer, one of Word In Black’s partner publishers, Jose Vilson, educator and writer, and the co-founder and executive director of EduColor., and Eric Duncan, a senior P-12 data and policy analyst at The Education Trust focused on educator diversity.
