    J’ai peur de voir glisser des visages qui n’en sont pas – cette « glissade » me rejetterait à l’angoisse. Les yeux pour cela n’existent pas. Autour de mon visage, des visages. J’ai peur qu’ils ne me dé-visagent, c’est-à-dire que j’ai peur qu’à force d’indifférence ils n’arrachent mon visage, car j’ignore ce qu’il masque.

   Ça sera puéril, le retour sous les grands chapiteaux, après le carnage, parmi les cris de lubricité, les amoncellements de membres, les yeux larrons, le crâne mauve, émondés à coups répétés de clavecin ; un dernier aperçu de la grève, les quais dans l’eau, des falaises que je n’ai jamais vues, des falaises où je viendrai naître à la vérité et à la vase. Un dernier aperçu, et nos mains elles-mêmes deviendront mystérieuses, comme jointes physiquement dans les profondeurs du crêpe d'une plage, un matin.
