He has spent countless hours digging through new and used record shops, looking for cheap gems to weave together in his DJ sets which are eclectic, but firmly rooted in the deep house tradition. Arkadz Sahakyan is a pioneer of modern Yerevan's nightlife scene and a passionate music enthusiast. As the visionary founder of Simona, the city’s first underground cocktail bar focused on music and vinyl records, he set a new standard for nightlife in Yerevan. His commitment to creating unique spaces led him to establish a series of iconic venues, all infused with his love for music.

Starting his journey in the world of music with a focus on hip hop and jazz, he quickly became captivated by the power of music across genres: House, D&B, UK Garage. His deep passion for sound led him to host internationally renowned artists in his intimate space, Simona, and this experience sparked a personal evolution—stepping behind the decks. His love for music and rhythm soon transformed into an identity: Supersonic Jazz. reflecting his energetic, fast-paced approach to music.

Through his ventures and his personal journey, he remains driven by one thing: a relentless passion for music and the joy it brings to the world.

After a nearly 20 year hiatus, Aaron Paar’s Worldship Music imprint is back in full effect with its 3rd and final release of 2019. Greg “Ski” Royal, the mixing engineer for all of the Teflon Dons releases to date steps from behind the mixing board to flex his production chops on this 3 track 12”. With remix and production credits dating back to 1984, including the dub mix of Patrice Rushen – “Feels So Real (Won’t Let Go)”, Greg is no stranger to soulful, groovy music, but was mostly known for his hip-hop and R&B remixes. However, in 1994 under the Royal Phenomena alias, Greg released a self-titled deep house EP in extremely limited quantities. “The Pur Royale Project” EP features “Down Fifth Avenue” from the aforementioned 1994 record as well as “Christopher”, a previously unreleased song of the same era featuring Greg Bowers on vocals. Both tracks represent the rugged garage aesthetic championed by Worldship for decades, and fit perfectly into the DJ bags of the true-school deep house aficionados who are fans of the Teflon Dons sound. This 12” brings the “unfinished business” chapter of the Worldship story to a close, but keep your ear to the ground for more quality from one of dance music’s unsung heroes, the Teflon Dons.

Aaron Paar Hot Mix 2/16/21

This tape came a year after the smash "Men From the Monastery" riding high off the "Black Corsairs" release and having just released the WMC sampler both ep's can be heard on this mix along with other tracks the Don's were playing at the time. The tape keeping in the HK Martial Arts theme with the artwork and vibe.

Produced & Mixed by Aaron Paar & Dave Fogg in Los Angeles going back 2 back throughout the mix.

Warriors Of The Mountain (Teflon Dons Mix Tape 1998)

Worldship Music began releasing music in 1995 by Aaron Paar with the "Planet Eater" EP. Aaron then formed the Teflon Dons with Dave Fogg as well as utilizing the mix engineering talents of Greg Ski Royal whom then went on to release 7 consecutive 12"'s over a 6 year period. After a hiatus of almost 19 years the Worldship Label has been Re-Launched with new focus and mission to continue where it left off with some new releases coming in 2019 and beyond.
