Bios:

Admin has been consciously collecting and spreading musical grooves in Bristol for over a decade. Founder of the fabled clubnight and whitelabel edits series 'Community Disc-O’s’, the consistency and quality of his musical projects stand out amid a vibrant local scene whilst attracting attention from peers and fans alike from around the globe.A studious beatsmith and producer, Admin draws influence from his record collection. Disco, Jazz, House and Hip Hop guide his own productions into different soulful and eclectic directions

Sam Bhok is known for his ecclectic sets spanning disco, latin, UK funky, percussion driven left-of-field electronic rhythms, and broken techno.

Having cut his teeth DJing and running nights in Bristol for a number of years, Sam now holds down Saturday nights on Worldwide FM is becoming a regular on the London club scene. 
He produces the Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Basement show and works closely with the legendary DJ frequently, from radio shows to mixtapes, which has no doubt honed Sam's extensive knowledge of music from Jazz obscurities to peak-time dancefloor weapons.

“This EP was made after I realised that what inspired me most was to combine my love of electronic music with the music I enjoy outside of the club. I decided to collaborate with friends from a couple of my favourite bands, including Fay Milton (Savages) who provides live drums on Motorik Bush Doof Musik and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) who performs on I Never Cared That Much For Jungle. For me, having live instrumentation on the EP adds an extra depth to the tracks & has given me a vision of how to I’d like future releases to sound.
My fave track off the EP, Growing Up With Muscle Cars, is an homage to my step dad who repairs and restores old muscle cars. He also used to take me to the drags in my hometown when I was little. We would push the race cars out onto the track. Some of my favourite memz as a lil kid.”

Phoebe Valentine has been a firm favourite of ours for a while now, absolutely smashing it when she warmed up for DJ Stingray at Soup Kitchen for us and Dimensions Festival back in May, so it's a pleasure to finally have her contributing to the mix series. She doesn't disappoint either, effortlessly switching between moods, tempos and energy levels over the course of the 67 minute mix and featuring tracks from a load of PPG favourites including Mor Elian, rRoxymore, Laksa, Jensen Interceptor and Skee Mask.

"Fred und Luna" are two mannequins living in a fashion boutique in Karlsruhe, Germany. They serve as muse for musician, lector, poet and photo/video maker Rainer Buchmüller.

Inspired by his doll friends and his love for German electronic music of the past decades, Rainer Buchmüller under the alias “Fred und Luna” produces his self-created genres Elektrokraut and Krautelektro: both a modern combination of repetitive rhythms, beautiful melodies, electronic soundscapes and elements from the Krautrock era.

With releases on Optimo Music, Bigamo, Compost Records and more, Rainer Buchmüller puts together an eclectic range of selects for this weeks International Tribe mix.

The 4th entry in to our podcast series comes from the lovely @tomvalbyrotary
His track “Lost on Seahaven island”  appeared on the 4th Intergraded release (he made it off the island eventually just incase you were wondering). Its one of those records that gets lodged in your head and won’t leave anytime soon. Recalling classic Soul Capsule, its already soundtracked a lot of blissed out sunrise moments. 

Founder of the @valbyrotarylabel alongside Louf and Benito and a well known face on the Leeds scene where he got his raving credentials, his mix is a masterful balance of drums, out there sounds and beautiful melodies and has been on repeat listen since we first got it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Louf is an artist we've long cherished, and we've been lucky enough to work closely with his label https://soundcloud.com/valbyrotarylabel which he co-runs with https://soundcloud.com/tomvalbyrotary. You would be seriously amiss if you hadn't checked out their offering, and the man in questions own contribution to it. Think stripped back, emotionally driven dancefloor juggernauts, with a side edge of cerebral zest.

It's with that same Mantra than Louf approaches this mix. Starting off slow, this electronic dreamscape soon turns into something more steely. Expect the warm sensation at the back of your neck to grow, driven by the desire to dance and introspect, all at the same time.
