For our 155th episode we welcome a joint show of Laurence Guy and Miller Blue. The pair have joined together to create the 'My Heart Still Leans On You' EP which will be released on the label Shall Not Fade on the 23rd of June.

Laurence Guy is an incredibly talented producer with an array of top tier releases. His debut album in 2017 on Church Records 'Saw You For The First Time' undoubtedly gripped any lovers of house music's attention. Since then he has released a series of cherished EPs on various labels, with this upcoming one with Miller Blue being his 5 appearance on Shall Not Fade. On top of his productions, Laurence is a passionate digger and skilled selector who has blessed dance-floors around the world with his underground house sounds. We particularly enjoy his Rinse FM shows where he smoothly jumps between genres from ambient, classical, house DnB to name a few. For their Bside podcast they opt to record half an hour separately. Laurence kicks things off showcasing his diverse taste in music dipping into some classic funk, a favourite self produced B-side, DnB, and 'the best deep house track in existence'. Miller follows with a mixture of his taste in records, displaying his soulful and jazzy sounds along with some club ready house.

Miller Blue - “‘My Heart Still Leans On You’ talks about the painful and often confusing experience of still being attached to someone that you’ve cut ties with. Although it may have been for the best, the heart doesn’t get to choose who it connects with and letting go can be a very difficult process."

Laurence Guy - “Miller has an uncanny ability to write lyrics that reflect my own feelings at different times that I can’t find my own words for. ‘My Heart Still Leans on You’ is a perfect example of this and it’s even more poignant to me now than it was when he first wrote it.

International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian.

This week’s International Tribe mix comes from London based record label Valby Rotary.

After developing their craft whilst studying in Leeds, Tom VR & Louf decided to start the imprint as an output for their own productions. After releasing their own music for the first three EPs, they expanded their roster to include like-minded producers, Jeigo and Mryn. Tom VR & Louf's tracks have gained support from many well-regarded DJs such as Midland, Gilles Peterson & George Fitzgerald.

The label aims to release left-field club-focused tracks with emotive elements. Their DJing follows a similar ethos, and this can be heard in their International Tribe mix.
