Lighthouse Lonely

For a long time I have been wanting to record the sound of a passing train with contact mics - with the Geofon it was quite easy - I just stuck it to the track with the magnet until the train passed - actually two trains a few minutes apart. In-between the trains you can hear the track shift to allow the second train coming from the opposite direction.
I must say I'm a little disappointed with the sound. I thought it would be much more energetic and wild. It sounds a bit like the ambient sound you hear standing next to a track with a train approaching...
If you look closely you can see the Geofon's grey wire next to the orange ones

I played a 2-note-chord into an EHX Freeze and thusly created a basic drone sound. 
Afterwards, I set my guitar aside.
Everything you hear is coming from my pedalboard and its components, no other sound sources.

Multiplicity Of Infection // an ambient pedalboard meditation

Over the past year, a selection of artists have been digging through the depths of their creative pursuits, for material they either cannot finish, or else would like to see adapted. These same artists and more have delved into the resulting repertoire, and emerged with new, repurposed pieces.

Out of this births the first volume of the Sustain Series: a means for artists to make use of old sounds, hoping to bring forward music that might have otherwise not seen the light of day. Thanks to the input from a variety of fantastic musicians, old material can breathe new life, sometimes in more than one form.
