André Uhl lives in Berlin. He will release a great album next month, called Relax and Implode, on the Martin Hossbach label. It's beautiful cinematic stuff, has this crystal clear production and is full of friction. I discovered his music through Frans Ambient’s amazing label, Kashual Plastik. One of the compilations featured André’s track, Talking Head, that I'm always caring with me. Keep an eye on him.

Sounds Of Ogigia is a new label inspired by ancient Greek gnosis, ritual practices and deviant sounds. 

The label is a crossover from the homonymous show for the Edinburgh based EH-FM which is presented by dj and promoter Pako Vega since August 2018.

The first release is by one of the strongest names in the game these days: Aggelos Baltas aka Anatolian Weapons @anatolianweapons. 

On this occasion, the Greek man is delivering a full-on eclectic EP with his unique ethnic touch. This four-track EP is a delicacy for the nonconformists; going from a Psych-Rock exploration and Dancehall rhythms to cathartic Slow-Chug and EBM belters.

The EP will be release digitally only on 21.11.2020 exclusively via Bandcamp.

A new Phase group Mix from Moscow made for us by Región Salvaje, a revived alias of Russian experimental sound enthusiast Dima Gerasimov aka Jan Fietser.  

Dima is the guy behind the excellent 'Muzak for Cycling' radio show on St Petersburg's Test FM. He has also released music on Towlie's Käften label under the Jan Fietser moniker. Following a recent move from St Pete to Moscow, Dima is focusing his energies these days on recording new music with his band Argonauts. 

This mix was recorded in March on the first day of Lockdowns in Russia, when Dima decided to spend his time digitising the tapes and vinyls from the most unpredictable purchases that he had made in the last few year. What results is an hour of charming and intriguing cassette-world oddities, DIY home recordings and lo-fi Groovebox experiments. Thanks Dima!

Phase Group Mix - Región Salvaje

New mix is online and it's coming  straight from Lyon, France. Curator and self made artist (music & graphic design), Sacha Mambo runs Macadam Mambo since it was created as a collective in 2008 and became later a label in 2012. DJ and digger for over two decades, his musical culture taps into a wide spectrum of influences, Sacha is one of those special selectors that manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together to create life changing moments and rich narratives, playing everything from Dub to New Beat, Early Rave to Cosmic Afro, post-Punk, Krautrock, Hip-hop or weird electronic sounds… his knowledge of rare gems and infectious oddball obscurities is second to none. But all of this is boring, Sacha is happy when you like and support the choices of Macadam Mambo in terms of music and releases, and the satisfaction that is to see a lot of young and less young people influenced by his work is the greatest reward to him.
