With an illustrious DJ and production career, spanning two decades, already behind him, Jozef K remains one of the UK’s resolute talents.  His vigorous house sounds land on Street Tracks with 
‘Ain’t Scared Of U Mothaz’, backed with a remix from Chicago dweller, Alinka.

Given his big break at the age of 19, with a resident DJ position at Manchester’s infamous Tribal Sessions night, Jozef K has employed his knowledge of the dancefloor straight to his music productions, and a healthy line of releases for esteemed labels such as Firehouse, Last Night On Earth, Chiwax and Acid Test has ensued.

Classic house tropes are on show in ‘Mothaz’, with rave-like stabs and relentless rolling 909 drums, accompanied by the cheekiest of dialogues.  This lead track gets a remix twist courtesy of Chi-town champion, Alinka.  A devout house music advocate, Alinka’s music has graced imprints such as Classic, Crosstown Records and her own Twirl Recordings, and she wastes no time in reshaping the track into a twisted, mechanical funk-fest, low down and dirty! 

Jozef teams up with Jade Parker, who provides the haunting vocal accompaniment on the melancholic and breezy ‘Gotta Have U’.  Shimmering hats and forlorn M1 organ keys enhancing the ethereal atmosphere here.  And rubbery bass synths, luscious pads and an optimistic glow furnish the closing track, ‘Walked On Water, Ran Through Fire’, Jozef’s ode to the Chicago sound, to round off an excellent package.
