Just felt like improvising a while back on my old piano and recorded it. Everything you hear is made up on the spot, I had no preperation for this song. Hope you'll like it :)  I'm aware that the ending is a bit sudden. but considering it's improv I suppose it's allowed ;p

Improvisation III (old recording & free download)

Every non-working day I try to improvise at least 1 song. This is today's result. I don't want to overload my profile with improvisations so that's why I don't upload them every time. But if you'd like to hear more, please sent me a message. If you want a custom made improvisation for a certain mood or ambiance I'll be glad to make one for you. I can't do anything, but I'm always willing to try and learn ;) 

P.s. I'm not the best name-giver, so if you can come up with a fitting title also let me know. 

Improvisation IV

My fifth improv. It's not perfect, but I still found it interesting enough to upload. I did prepare the first few seconds of the song to have a "starting idea". But when you have only 3 minutes of preperation I suppose you can still call it an improv :) 

Maybe when I have the time I will take out the good parts of my improvisations untill now and make a well prepared song.. (That's how I usually write my original music).

Improvisation V

The melody you hear in the first few seconds was part of an improvisation I recorded. The last two hours I've tried to build this into a song. It's partially improvised and partially not. 

Hope you like it, it's a bit more intense compared to my other songs but still thought it would be fun to see what the response would be :)

But completely an amazing song.

It is called 'If I Saw You'.

Jimena of Excorde is singing about a person who she has never met.

The lyrics are beautiful & heartfelt.

The singing performance is flawless.

The complex piano chords & song pacing are perfect, allowing us to fully appreciate her vocal ability, vocal range, vibrato, expression, artistry, musical passion and undeniable singing skill.

I have heard many songs by Excorde, and personally I consider getting involved in mastering assistance, to help others to recognise the full potential.

That hasn't happened so far, but I have assisted them with promotion to help people to recognise their ability as a group.

So to hear this song & see this phenomenally emotionally charged video, it is a wonderful thing, because the sound quality is immense, the music is immersive & the performance is captivating.

I hope as many people as possible get t see this video so that finally Excorde's potential can be seen on a larger scale.

Is this a song review? It could be.

I think the purpose of writing this is ultimately to help others to recognise the importance of emotions in music.

I won't give it a score, but please just listen. Watch it. Feel it.

When Jonnie told me he was writing a new song, I was certainly not expecting to receive this! Wow! I was (and still am) in awe. Not because his compositions haven’t impressed me in the past, but because he can also write melancholic ballads on the piano. And what a ballad!!! So heartfelt, so unique... This magical piece was very different from all the ballads I had done before and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to come up with something as good lyrically or vocally. But after the initial “I-can’t-do-this” shock subsided, I understood that, in order to make it right, my contribution to the song would have to be unique, too. So I tried to sing differently this time, not with my full voice, but emulating the intimate atmosphere Jonnie had created with the keyboards and sing as intimately as I possibly could. I sincerely hope you like the result.
