That's a really nice section. I like some of the textures throughout, but they really come together in that heavier section.

This fits together very nicely indeed  ! The tuning feels comfortable here too.  The second half sounded a bit wry to me in that regard. For want of a better word.

I think the unusual tuning works really well on this one - the piece is almost beautiful - the oddness pulls it towards slightly weird, but in a good way.

I like this part -- still a little odd feeling, but again, in a good way.

I'm going to agree with Merlin here, the microtuning is just hard to sit with, but I get it- that's the style and direction. I really like the more ambient, textural breakdown in the middle.

Halfjazz

For this OSC Any Synth Challenge, I chose the PS-3300, a beautiful software emulation of a late 1970s analogue polyphonic synthesizer from KORG. Cherry Audio developed this soft synth. Every sound you hear was created using the PS-3300. I tried to create an overall sound that matches the capabilities of a studio production in 1978. This is in honour of this beautiful synthesizer and its creators.

Believe it or not, this was originally supposed to be a backrooms-ish vaporwave track. It turned out more spacey but I like where it landed.

Thorns of the Wolf (OSC 198 - Diversion)

An experimental ambient-leaning electronic album drawing influence from vaporwave and slushwave, built around warm, immersive synth textures and intentionally slow BPMs. The melodies and soundscapes evoke a shifting palette of emotion and introspection. Vocals alternate between pitched-down and natural delivery, layered with heavy delay and reverb. Hooks feature intricate rhyme and assonance schemes, adding lyrical depth to the atmospheric production.
