Since ZOCALO have called it a day, I'm gonna keep the soundcloud open and start adding tunes from my new project (name to follow)which will be similar to ZOCALO, but more stripped back and bluesy :)

A hard grooving, heavy-blues based band where the riff is king and foot-stomping grooves reign supreme.  Zocalo drink as hard as they play and invite you to join them.

This site will host some of my recordings and mix downs. Tracks are recorded through a Soundcraft GB4 into an Alesis HD24 and then mixed down in PreSonus Studio One. Many will be live, though some will be mobile recordings. Early recording, prior to September 2012 were made through an Allen & Heath GL2200 432. Biography

Drummer - Wayne Thompson

Mr and Mrs Thompson gave birth to wonderful Wayne in 1993 in the town of Colchester, England. His musical journey began at the age of 5 when he was given his first drum kit. He started along the path of becoming a drummer by teaching himself, playing the beat from We Will Rock You by Queen. He was always inspired by his family who were all musicians and played in a function band together. He would travel with them and see their performances and was lucky enough to be surrounded by music every day.  

He studied Music in school and started to build on talent and technique. After finishing, he then went on to further education and started his studies for a National Diploma in Popular Music and soon afterwards, started more studies towards a BA Hons in Popular Music. During this time he started his first originals band called Newtons Apple, wrote Progresive Metal tracks with an experiential band ACW, became the drummer for medic death metal band Skarthia and ever since then, he has evolved into the drumming machine he is today, getting involved in his family band as the main drummer and session work with bands around the UK as well as writing his own compositions on guitar as well.

These days, Wayne can been seen performing in a variety of styles of music, from Funk/Rock with Newtons Apple, Melodic Death Metal with Skarthia and music from the 50’s to the present day songs we have now with Tall Order. 
He is currently working with these artists as well as any session work with people who are in need of his drumming services.

I'm a dedicated and hardworking musician currently studying under Chris Broderick of Megadeth.

Full time lead guitarist in Inner Fire, Zocalo, Prolapse. Current live guitarist for Stormborn (UK Summer 2013 Headline Tour) and Splintered Soul (since 2011; Bloodstock 2012).

I'm an artist endorsee of Graph Tech Guitar Labs (www.graphtech.com).
