WRONG FORMAT 01 - A (WFMT01) Preview

For The Nursery’s 20th release – an anniversary in itself – the Argentinian music machine Vladw makes his second appearance on Dynamic Reflection’s sub label. And quite an appearance it is. Even after putting out an insane amount of music since 2013, a stagnation in his productions is still nowhere to be found.

Exactly one year after his first contribution to the label, his ‘Lucid Minds EP’ hits the surface, and to say that it does its name justice would be an understatement. It floats from the acidic influences found in ‘Here, nobody surrenders’ and ‘The history will absolve me’, to the straight forward vibe on the second track, and the beautiful soundscape on the third. 

Even with this seemingly huge variety in styles, all of them are executed with equally high skill and ear for detail. This compelling composition of four very divergent tracks underlines Vladw’s talent and creativity, and to choose one favourite from it would be near impossible.

Premiere of 'Torment' by Axkan in remix by UVB, taken from Torment EP released on OMEN Recordings

This is the 5th EP release for OMEN Recordings, once again with a heavy hitting Techno EP. “Torment”, is written and produced by Los Angeles based artist, AXKAN, with remixes by Berlin based producer, Luis Flores, and French techno star, UVB. UVB’s Oestrogène remix (B1) starts with a linear and powerful percussive pattern that runs throughout the track, while the recognizable lead synth is riding along in the background with soundscapes of misery.

FR : Donü ouvre le bal avec un track profond aux sonorités dub et entraînantes. Parfait pour introduire Dykore, qui nous partage à nouveau son univers à la fois brutal et mélodique. Une violence qu'on retrouve dans le morceau du dernier résident en date, Nuage Rose, violent et sombre avec une pointe de spiritualité qui s'enchaîne parfaitement avec le track de MLSN. Un son hypnotique aux sonorités sombres et son caractéristique kick très sub. Le duo Pleije vient clore cette release avec un track percutant et rafraîchissant, dans leur plus pur style et qui termine de la plus belle des manières cette sortie pointue et prenante. Un Various Artists sous le signe de la sueur qui n'attend plus que d'être à nouveau partagé.

EN: Donü opens the dance with a deep track with a dub and catchy sound. Perfect to introduce Dykore, who once again shares his brutal and melodic universe with us. A violence that we find in the track of the latest resident to date, Nuage Rose, violent and dark with a touch of spirituality that follows perfectly with the track of MLSN. A hypnotic sound with dark tones and its characteristic subdued kick. The duo Pleije comes to close this release with a percussive and refreshing track, in their purest style and which finishes in the most beautiful way this sharp and gripping release. A Various Artists under the sign of sweat that is just waiting to be shared again.
