Blurring the lines between UK techno, bass and breakbeat, Out of Sorts present their first release, The Crescent VA. Despite being newcomers on the scene, the Bristol-based label pulls in five artists who are by no means newcomers themselves. Dyslecta teams up with the label after a string of releases this year on Dim Sum, Gated Recordings and Ape-X. Heading up the B-side, Engram is a bouncy, ryhthmic affair packed with intricate percussion, rich sub-bass and vocals that wouldn't go amiss in the heights of the rave era. 
With Dyslecta joining artists Will Hofbauer, An Avrin, Bobo and Farr on this VA, this track sets the pace for the rest of the release. With pre-orders available now ahead of the full limited press release on 21st May, this is a release that isn't set to stick around for long. PREMIERE | Dyslecta - Engram [Out Of Sorts] 2021

There path for this evening was undecided, there'd been plenty of opportunities to commit to one thing or another but they preferred to play by ear. Being tied down had never been their thing. The people and the places would dictate their next move — the element of surprise kept the excitement going. If one space didn't meet their needs they'd find somewhere else to spend the twilight hours; spontaneity always remained key.

Sync 24 has has played a central role in the UK electro scene for over two decades, be that through his Scand parties in the capital or his Cultivated Electronics label which has been home to some of the most exciting electro artists since its inception in 2007. After a slew of EPs on labels like CPU and Touchin' Bass, as well as split collabs with the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Radioactive Man and Anthony Rother, he's finally releasing his long-awaited debut LP 'Inside The Microbeat', which features tracks aimed at the dancefloor alongside leftfield cuts and vintage electronica.

The release also comes as a limited-edition version (a run of only 100 copies) with a gatefold sleeve and a 12" canvas print of the artwork, hand-finished by award-winning animation director Will Barras, in a tote bag exclusive to this LP run.

PREMIERE: Sync 24 - Drunk On Delays [Cultivated Electronics]

Sometimes he felt like he was losing control, as though his grip on reality was slipping between his fingers. In these moments he preferred to shut himself off from the world, remain in darkness with his head buried under the covers. There was some solace in wallowing in these feelings, but it was only temporary: confiding in friends and others around him gave him strength and hope, they helped him to see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

IDA's Sävy Records returns with its third release from a new edition to its roster: Berlin-based Italian Slak. In typical Sävy fashion across the three original tracks Trilogy of Reasons tips the hat to the electronic sounds of the 90s. It's vibrant and full of energy, cruising through anthemic breakbeats, driving acid grooves and atmospheric techno. On the flip, another Berlin-based artist, Adlas, offers up a reinterpretation of one of the tracks which rounds off the EP perfectly.

space•lab’s fourth EP comes from in-form Rambal Cochet and on "Galatians Syndrome" EP, he’s expertly crafted four spacey groovers which are primed for the dancefloor. On each track, enchanting atmospherics and hypnotic soundscapes intertwine with rolling basslines as crispy drums punch through layers of acid and melody. An essential for fans of prog trance.

A few months ago we introduced to Jen Hartley aka Yushh @yushh with the inaugural release of her label Pressure Dome. Jen established herself as one of Bristol’s most exciting new faces on the scene. As a local selector, she's turned her attention to the groundswell of artists the city has to offer. She launched Pressure Dome @pressuredome - a platform for uncovering the city's talents at the cross-section of bass music and UK-ish electronic sounds.

On this second release, the Pressure Dome crew are back in full force with something fresh out of the lab. A cold fusion of other-wordly rhythm and pulsation, a blueprint of Bristol's sonic underground and its uncharted voices of vibration. 

From chuggy dancehall rhythm and energetic breaks, to intricate, atmospheric techno, electro and grime, these fifteen broken-beat builders take us on on a journey through crafted cadence and dynamic metronomy. 

Wanting to give back to the city they live in and one that inspires so much creativity in those fortunate enough to access opportunity, all proceeds from PDCOMP001 will go to Caring in Bristol, a homeless charity providing services and shelter for those most in need.
