GbClifford's new album Mock the World 2gether, deals with temporality and presence. By combining compositions with telephone recordings and found footage audio tracks, it evokes a sense of familiarity and an effort to anchor oneself in the present moment. Although GbClifford's new album leans more towards pop ballads, it is also more immersed in the patina of recordings and rough, unpolished editing.

The entire work is divided into two chapters. First chapter "Sometimes I think about" deals with the feeling of losing touch with the present self and being oversaturated with the world. The second chapter „Spend a day with me at a shopping mall“ returns to the nostalgia of days spent in shopping malls, filming vlogs, and watching favorite entertainment TV channels. You could say it's an audio response to the internet trend of liminal aesthetics. It is an attempt to find fulfilment and liveliness in these places. Perception of even what may seem empty.
