Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus (Alex Metric Remix)

From the sleeve notes on Erasure Ultra Rare Trax Vol.2: "Denied a Number 1 placing Xmas '89' by Cliff Richards (sic) 'Mistletoe and Wine'. Say no more!!! Excerpt mixed by those Art of Noise People."

It is basically an old-school "Cut & Paste" remix of the extended mix, with a few overdubs. I don't know when this was originally released (probably shortly after the original song in 1989?), but it came to my attention sometime in the mid-nineties.

I have no idea if the Art Of Noise had anything to do with this unofficial remix (I kind of doubt it), but that was the claim!

Note: Cover artwork is from the official US cassette single of Stop!

This is the 'missing' Erasure Club mix, omitted from the 2009 CD compilation release. Remixed by Fortran 5, it originally appeared on the ERAS 2 promo twelve inch as a double 'A' with the Ship Of Fools Orbital Southsea Isles Of Holy Beats Mix.
