Mo Vibez & Holly - Out Of Sight

A native of Bremen in northwest Germany, @qnete's previous releases include appearances on Lobster Theremin and his own Drowned Records label where he can be found trading between the boisterous and melodic in a seemingly effortless manner. Now returning to @777recordings after a cameo on the label's C'est La Vii compilation, the enigmatic producer appears to have nailed the formula with his 'Undesirable Circumstances' EP.

'Spittin'' picks up right where he left off. Going at it hammer-and-tongs on the 808, Qnete layers insistent clap and rimshot patterns over his trance-inducing electronics. In a schizophrenic mix of discordant, vividly coloured bass synths, shimmering pads and pummelling drums, it's almost reminiscent of early Night Slugs material. Everything bar the odd wisp of fluttering synth plays like percussion, only adding to the violent maelstrom brewing in its centre.

'Undesirable Circumstances' is out mid October on 777 Recordings.
