Fun Facts:
As this song was being recorded it seemed to grow in stature from something that was pretty ordinary to something that was actually pretty good.
It is a song of healing, fortitude and moving on.
The key is E major.
This was the very first time that George had recorded two-handed tapping.
Several months previously a girl who George was deeply fond of had been forced to move hundreds of miles away due to a new parental job.
When the advent of social media many years later allowed them to get in touch again, it turned out the young lady in question was also devastated by the sudden move.
I Don't Care Now was never added to the repertoire of any band and remained a piece of personal therapy.

Fun Facts:
Four is a song that was inspired by a dream that seemed to have four separate acts.
It had rather a grand scope and several of George's friends seemed to love this song, despite its apparently nonsensical lyrics.
In 1985 it became a part of Wud's repertoire.
George had heard bands such as Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult and Black Sabbath perform a song where everyone but the guitarist left the stage and the guitar played some sort of solo.
This was incorporated into this song, to represent the time and the upcoming change in feel following an event in described in the lyrics.
The piano was recorded at a very low gain for reasons now unknown, unfortunately.
There is something causing a massive hiss on the vocal mic, possibly a low battery in the Selmer Scintallation reverb unit.

Fun Facts:
This is an art rock/hard rock song in A minor.
There is a break where the chords are Dmaj7 and Fmaj7.
Hard Times was part of the set of Wud and they would use it to close their set.
It is the second part of Flashback, which had three parts.
Richard helped with a few of the later lyrics and the bass part was influenced by what Marc used to play.
There was a drummer who couldn't understand the beat of this song and sat looking embarrased and uncomfortable on his drumstool until the end.
He was sacked after the show.

This is a song in several parts with several different feels.
How Does It Make You Feel? was never performed live by a band.
It was slated for an outing with The Masters of Drone, but the band didn't last long enough.
This song was composed during the early days of Laughing Sun.
How Does It Make You Feel? was composed to commemorate several emotionally intense events.
It is possible it has never been heard before.

Song for Hannah was written for someone who became friends with the Wud posse in the summer of 1985.
She arrived from Cheltenham and lived in the flat above Gaia's Restaurant in Fore Street.
A few months later she moved to Brighton and formed a band called Pan.
This is a song in A major.
It was never performed by a band.

Fun Facts:
It's Just a Game was written during the days of Laughing Sun.
An extremely odd situation was starting to unfold.
This went way beyond the normal entropy which followed the closing of a cycle of good fortune.
It's Just a Game is a song of esoteric chords and key changes.
Some of these chords went on to form the basis of the song Lullaby, which came later.
The Electric Mistress is set to the 'red' setting, as used for the song Planets.

It was written at around noon.
It was never performed by any band.
This is a song of exasperation at the political situation in thatcher's uk in the mid-1980s.
It seems nothing much has improved or changed in the last 40 years.

Fun Facts:
Lullaby is an extraordinary and unique piece of music composed for electric guitar with a whammy bar.
George wrote this song on 11th November 1985, the fourth anniversary of the day when he first picked up a guitar and wondered how it worked.
The inspiration for this song was a foraging trip on the Blackdown Hills in devon, and what happened afterwards.
All of the music came quite rapidly and the whole piece was composed in a very short time.
There are some highly esoteric and unusually voiced chords in this.
Lullaby was never performed by a band.
Despite that, the song was very popular amongst George's friends after he had written it.

* What do we stand for as a label?

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
