Somnus Arts is a collection of independent artists. Somnus Arts lies somewhere between a record label and a community, where the artist are free to release music as and when they wish without a contract looming over them and in complete control of their project royalties. The small, but growing, community of producers sharing in their own areas of expertise and leaning on each other for help and advice. This tight knit group also allows for shared projects including collaborations, features and remix work.

Standard Deviation's music focuses on detailed Sound Design and Original Composition, creating Dark and Moody tracks, utilizing evolving digital synthesizers and analog hardware for distinctive sounds. They focuses on storytelling through music, often inspired by fictional narratives which drive their music creation process. 

Their tracks often find inspiration from artists such as: Lorn, Baths, Beach House, Brand New, Explosions In The Sky. They also collaborate with artists from the Somnus Arts group such as: Rudi Wilkin and Alined.

Standard Deviation's name indicates a desire to move away from the characteristics that define genres, blurring the lines between all sources of inspiration.

🌴11th Island music and influences encompass elements of house, downtempo, drum and bass, dubstep and pop.

I'm a music producer who loves creating emotional music, mainly in the Trance/EDM genre. 

I do a lot of sound design as well as making my own tracks, collaborations and remixing.
I want to share my music with as many people as I can, while taking time to listen to what other musicians/producers create. 
The reason I make music is purely passion for what I do, hopefully meeting like-minded musicians along the way.

I've been making music for a few years now, making original tracks and entering remix competitions.
I previously had an album release on Beatport and iTunes and some remixes I made are also released on Beatport.

I aim to get as much feedback as possible to try and make my music better in any way I can, to reach more people and to help others along the way.
