5D Magic Words

I composed this piece for visitors to Sydney's Centennial Park Labyrinth to listen to while walking the labyrinth. This labyrinth is single sandstone path with no dead ends, that can be used as a path for walking meditation. This music was written to help settle the mind and open the heart on your labyrinth walk.

"It was a beautiful summer day, the young couple enjoying their lazy trip along the coastline in their convertible. This was surely the most beautiful day of their vacation, as they rolled through the lush green landscape, savoring the scent of all these flowers. They stopped occasionally to enjoy each other’s company, sucking up the breathtaking landscapes or sipping from sizzling champagne, looking forward to yet another lazy day and sparkling night. They both had the feeling that this was for real, that they finally found their soul mate.
They drove into the hills, following a winding road over a mountain pass. The landscape was still beautiful on the other side of the mountains, but the greenery was gone and it was just a desert. As they drove through this desolate landscape, the mood changed. A sense of loneliness descended upon them. They started to doubt… what would happen if their car broke down? Would they be able to make it to the other side, where the mountains looked even more beautiful, but still so far away? Then a red warning light started to flash on the dashboard and all of a sudden the engine stalled. The car came tantalizingly slowly to a halt and the young couple looked anxiously at each other… Would this be the end? They had no idea what kind of test was waiting for them…"

August's Flavour of the month is a live-set by the Argentinean producer Uji (@ujitimebeing).

Organic sounds turn digital, surprising even the most attentive listeners. The music flows like a walk on the Andes, resting on the top to look around at the landscape, before waking up back in the jungle, or the ocean, or the forest as if traveling in time.

The suspended stillness of the daybreak and the twilight feeds our imagination, and fascinates the longing for the unknown. This mix includes tracks from the Uji's debut solo album - “Alborada” - out for ZZK Records, plus remix and other singles.
