Producers are the backbone of any label; developing supportive and genuine relationships with our artists is the core principle of XYZ's development. Our Oppo series is an ode to the figures that we feel are at the foundation of the label's journey thus far.

Emotional Tourist has cemented himself as a pillar of XYZ’s artistic direction over the last two years. The Romanian first caught the ear via an rhythmically groovy remix of DSF, and last year’s The Day The World Meets You showcased the Emotional Tourist sound in its finest forms.

Oppo gives full creative control to the producer, who essentially functions as the label head on the project. Curating sounds from artists around the world who've influenced his journey thus far, as well as a pristine production of his own, Emotional Tourist presents a project that fully represents his tastes as an artist.

Bross, Bodaishin, & Lupe Republic come together to form a sound-wielding supergroup! The three compadres have harnessed Catalan inspiration, paying homage to a bedrock of electronic music and endless nights. Barcelona boasts bouncy basslines and dancefloor deviance - a terrific tool for any selector.

Ukrainian artist Somelee steps up to Kindisch with a fantastically cultured pair of new tracks. 

Somelee hails from Kharkiv in Ukraine, a city now destroyed by war which has left him searching for a new home. Despite this, he remains a core part of the new school of melodic house and techno producers. He has released on that scene's most pivotal labels such as All Day I Dream, Sol Selectas and now Kindisch. Whether making melancholic moods or more groove-based cuts, he does so with a real sense of atmosphere. 

His opener 'Aries' is a sublime six-minute journey into supple deep house rhythms They are gently peppered with tumbling toms and melodies that speak of yearning and loss. They are carefully draped over the drums and make a lasting impact, while more nimble keys have an Eastern feel and bring a sense of hope next to the delicate and whispered female vocals. 

'Solar Symphony' is a collaboration with Talemates that is a little heavier and more driving, but still deliciously deep and with a gorgeous female vocal. Here the taught drums bump beneath languid chords and loose shakers. Playful melodies dance up top next to string sounds and a rasping bassline adds further weight to this stylish and subtle party starter. 

This is a musical and moving pair of life-enriching house tunes.

Bross is one of the most vital electronic artists from the vibrant Romanian music scene. 

Co-founder of the Deep House Burcharest community and an in-demand touring DJ,Bross lives and breathes house music like few others.

Over the past few years Bross has released on a selection of highly respected labels including All Day I Dream, Trubadour, Trybesof, Amulanga, Radiant and Hoomidaas. 

Scoring Beatport No.1’s with La Caminita on All Day I Dream and Trubadour on Amunanga, he established himself with deep, organic, melodic releases, before switching his sound up to become more house-focussed at the start of 2022. 

His sound has evolved over the years, but remains rooted in both groove and melody, as he finds inspiration from digging for old house tracks with jazzy influences, 90’s house, 00’s tribal music and even as far back as gospel and swing to create his singular music.

Bross’s involvement in co-founding Deep House Bucharest has established him as a champion of the local scene, organising events that helped establish a community in Romania. 


The success of these events opened the door to other cities in the country, and also gave him the opportunity to perform alongside artists such as Sasha, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Guy J, Death on the Balcony, Mihai Popoviciu and many more in venues from London to Amsterdam, and Ibiza to Lisbon.

Bross specialises in extended sets - often playing up to 10 hours – which allows him to experiment with a range of styles and genres, with long transitions and a strong connection with the crowd defining his performances.

2022 and beyond sees Bross looking to establish his own digital and vinyl label Troubadour, and to further cement the new development of his housier sound with his upcoming releases.
