Facing the Tiger

Die Wut kocht im Bauch,
und ich lasse sie an dir aus.
Ich weiß es sollte anders laufen,
es ist einfach nur zum Haare raufen.

Ich stehe mir selbst im Weg,
würde es gerne ändern,
bald ist es zu spät.
Doch noch besitze ich das Privileg. 

Also blicke ich dem Tiger ins Gesicht,
suche ihn und die Konfrontation,
es gibt nur die diese eine Option.
Damit dieses Unbehagen erlischt. 

Erleichterung macht sich in mir breit,
dass ist das Gefühl wahrhaftiger Freiheit.
Eigentlich wusste ich es schon immer,
vor seinem Schatten kann man sich nicht verstecken,
man muss ihn annehmen, umformen und somit die alten Laster niederstrecken.
Ich bin definitiv ein Gewinner!

FRACTAL ARCHITECT ist der Schöpfer des heutigen Podcasts. Sein Set umschreibt eine Berg und Tal fahrt. Die Melodien lassen einen sanft in unsagbare Höhen entschweben. Kurz darauf folgt der freie Fall in Richtung Erdboden. Doch im letzten Moment landet man weich auf einer flauschigen Wolke und segelt entspannt dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen.

The Artist Jacob Groening combines his skills to create musical landscapes with his signature percussive organic sounds. He will perform in Istanbul and Ankara Turkey end of April this year

After his successful „Sulg Ep“ on his own imprint „Kamai Music“ Jacob Groening is about to release his newest „Kanun Ep“. 
The Ep will set the start of the new Istanbul based Label „Dreamsway Music“. Aiming a path between eastern and western music the new ep from Jacob Groening blends together old pieces of traditional Kanun phrases, Saxophones as well as profound analog sounds in a unique and outstanding way.

Speaking about his latest work Groening said: „I realised that things are closer than they appear even if they seem distant, while working on the track Kanun which was a year ago. This is a sustainable production. I tried to make the most out of the resources that were given, which was a kanun, a piano and some sax recordings I made some time ago. Everything belongs together, like a family but a little bit different shapes and forms or gradings. Often we look for more and don’t realise that everything we need is around us if we look closer. Its very easy to get distracted and to loose focus these days so I ßdisconnected for some days and just played with the recordings, instruments and synthesisers that I have.  The more disconnected the closer I was to myself and as well to the music and its single sounds. In the end you can hear that everything belongs together and is there for a reason“.

„Kanun“ is Jacobs 6th Ep after his first release in 2015 which will be released 15 of march 2020.

Reimagining art is a difficult task. Taking a fully original vision from a fellow artist and twisting it into your own work presents a set of innate challenges. How do you pay the necessary homage to the originator, while also appeasing your artistic intuition? This is a question confronted by producers when pursuing the unique nature of the music industry’s most flexible assets - the remix.

Our Diversions series explores the diverse processes and influences that manifest during the remix process. Each release presents fresh takes on the label’s original productions by both XYZ stalwarts and newcomers alike. This series is a chance to connect artists from across the musical spectrum in the pursuit of unique and unexpected tracks. For the second release in the Diversions series, XYZ has collected an eclectic mix of producers dripping with quality. 

An early favorite of the XYZ team as his career was just taking off, Facundo Mohrr is a name at the tip of many tongues. One of the most forward thinking producers in the deep & melodic scene, Mohrr is surging onto the international scene, asserting himself as the biggest taste-maker to come out of Argentina since Hernan Cattaneo.

Making his debut on the label, Facundo connects with fellow All Day I Dream veteran DSF on his funky number Fraoula. Mohrr elongates the arrangement, creating a rising groove with subby undertones. The remix continues the acid-influence from Bortz’s remix, giving Fraoula a distinct edge under the lighter notes from the original production. A peak hour tune!
