Following their recent remix of Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray’s uplifting anthem ‘Ogou (Pran Ka Mwen)’, dutch duo 16BL present their first original release in two years: ‘Always / Shadows On The Wall’, a double A-side in collaboration with Wild Dark.

Over the past years, 16BL have received support from the likes of Pete Tong, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Tycho, Kolsch, Adam Port, and John Digweed, and become Anjunadeep label favourites for memorable releases including ‘Deep In My Soul’, ‘Vette’ and ‘Beat Organ’.

Now, on this new release, the Dutch duo collaborate with New York-based brothers Wild Dark and singer-songwriter Megan Morrison. The first track, ‘Always’, opens the EP with distorted, swelling synths, before 16BL and Wild Dark each offer their own mix of second track 'Shadow On The Wall’, providing two different takes on the imposing melody and Megan’s stirring vocals.

Dee Montero is next up on the ever reliant music tastemakers that are Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings. 

Montero is a UK artist with an international profile. He is a former resident at Cafe Mambo for eight years and has some serious skills in the DJ booth. His productions skills are renowned and revered too, with recent releases on the likes of Lee Burridge's Tale & Tones, Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound, and Solomun's Diynamic, where his 'Halcyon' track spent 5 weeks at #1 on Beatport, and was Pete Tong's #1 Track of 2017. Here he goes deep and emotional on his four latest and great tracks. 

Chakra opens up with spine tingling xylophones dancing over rubbery, rolling grooves. It's a late night cut with a real sense of musical spirit that burrows deep into your brain. Ventura then picks up the pace but stays just as seductive, with supple kicks and more busy but enchanting new age melodies floating up top next to draped piano chords that are full of feeling. Bahia then traps you in a trance, with more sustained pads and chanting vocals that are utterly uplifting. It's a magical cut once more. Last of all, Samsara is another hands in the air, lighters out kind of tune with dreamy pads and superbly crafted melodies that are soft and shiver inducing. 

This really is a classy house EP from one of the best labels in the game.

The latest release from German wunderkind Ben Böhmer. Following a pair of ‘Black Hole’ remix cuts, the original one of many memorable moments from his acclaimed 2019 ‘Breathing’ LP, album opener ‘In Memoriam’ now receives the rework treatment courtesy of seasoned UK producer Tim Green.

Having released on All Day I Dream, Cocoon and Get Physical, we warmly welcome Tim into the fold and mark his Anjunadeep debut with a fresh take on Ben’s emotive tribute ‘In Memoriam’. Retaining the key harmonic elements of the original track, Tim’s groove-heavy remix demonstrates why he’s been supported by some of the biggest DJs in his field including Sven Vath, Kölsch, Sasha and Pete Tong.

Finnish DJ and producer Yotto has become an Anjunadeep legend since making his debut on the label in 2015. Winning huge support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard, Otto Yliperttula quickly rose to prominence with his energetic melodic house sound. His debut album ‘Hyperfall’, released in late 2018 reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance Album Chart, and saw him tour the world and play at Coachella. Since then Yotto has established his own label, Odd One Out, putting out a string of club cuts supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Artbat and Eric Prydz.

Over a year since his last solo release on Anjunadeep, Yotto now makes a welcome homecoming with ‘Another Riff For The Good Times / Daydreaming’. Demonstrating his flair with uplifting melodies, ‘ARFTGT’ is classic Yotto, whilst the restrained ‘Daydreaming’ is a highlight from the recent chart topping compilation ‘Anjunadeep 11’.
