Swiss scene mainstay Kellerkind brings his uniquely soulful house sounds to a new EP on Get Physical Music. 

Marco Biagini hails from a small rural town but has made his mark throughout his homeland as an irreplaceable figure in the electronic scene. Inspired by a long love of Chicago and deep house, he has constantly brought his own spin as a DJ and producer. Now no stranger to the top of the Beatport charts and high profile support from influential selectors, he is a mainstay at labels like Stil Vor Talent and makes a great impression with this Get Physical Music debut. 

Heartfelt opener 'Somebody' is the sort of dynamic but loose deep house that gets a smile on the face of knowing crowds. Its bass is warm and bendy, and the synths bring texture, while a spine-tingling contemporary soul vocal is the perfect finishing touch as the catchy groove rolls on. The excellent 'Physical Aspects of Disco' shows another side to this artist's sound: it's a colourful and playful disco-house fusion with rich chords and a vocal full of character. The energy builds throughout so that the dance floor will erupt after the breakdown. 

These are two stylish and sumptuous tracks from Kellerkind.

Berlin-based rising producer Yannek Maunz and talented singer and songwriter Johanson are debuting on Bar 25 Music with 'Get Out' EP.

Yannek Maunz is known for his deep, melodic, and bass-heavy beats. He has developed a signature sound that is created using analog synths, organic percussion, and memorable melodies. Over the past two years, his music has been steadily gaining popularity on dance floors and streaming platforms alike. Despite having released on well-established labels such as Parquet, 3000°, Dantze, and Katermukke, he co-founded his own label, YION Berlin. Korean-Canadian producer Hyunji-A returns to TOR, continuing to cement her bespoke sound, which highlights enticing and emotive grooves. She's been turning heads in her hometown Montreal through headlining shows at the esteemed Stereo, and her production career is well underway with releases flowing on the likes of OneDotSixTwo, 3rd Avenue, and right here on TOR.

Following her delightful duo on the Ticking Clock EP, Hyunji-A is back to soundtrack the summer with her second offering on TOR - the Stars & Satellites EP.

On the A-side, Stars & Satellites opens with crisp drum programming and floating hooks, before a sharp kick & rhythmic percussions open to a bountiful bassline. Build for the club, Hyunji's vocals float in the background, allowing the melodics to lift energy throughout a big build. A bomb from start to finish.

The B-side Badabing is a playful joint, touching upon micro-minimal flavors & acidic tones. Aptly titled, the B-side toys with the mind and bounces across all corners of the brain. This is sure to find the hands of seasoned selectors.

Closing us out is the percussive house jam Game of Chance. Powerful & prolific, Hyunji-A's sound is ready to rock on big systems. Easing into progressive territories, she effortlessly flexes her range as a producer and leaves us calling for more!

Second single taken from Rampue's forthcoming album 'Bubblebath Trance', which also marks A Tribe Called Kotori's first foray into full-length territories, here comes 'Verfahren / Schattenschranz'. Cut from the same immaculate, ethereal cloth that's come to define his smoothly oneiric style over the years, this new pair of bleached-out belters from the Berlin-based escapologist treats us to an effortlessly lush tableau of both wistful and dynamic electronica, tear-jerking and multi-dimensional in essence. Fuelled on kodachromatic beachside vibes and faux balearic-infused jazz, Rampue's sonic postcards are true poetry in motion, as their deep and largely dubbed-out flavours reveal themselves on a drip tease flex, fleshing out with unheard levels of detail and depth as you listen to them more attentively. 

A total mindtrip of a track and deeply cinematic object, 'Verfahren' embraces Rampue's hair-raising take on the classic electronica formula and injects it with an ambrosial nectar of uplifting trancey motifs and pixelated beauty akin to his beloved PS1 games' soundtracks. Transporting downtempo beauties for the dance floor and not, sure to teleport you right up captivating dreamlands and away from the daily struggle. Dunked in thick puddles of tape delays and rippling reverbs, 'Schattenschranz' resounds with echoes from easternmost melodies and coastal jazz harmonics, weaving its own narrative at the conjunction of heavy-lidded boogie and Latin brass music to fascinating effect. Feet buried deep into a white blanket of sand, your mind wandering off to some exotic Shangri-La, Rampue's music is a vessel to a whole other world, where burdens get wings of their own and hopefulness is the master plan. Electronics at its most refreshingly tuneful and forward-looking.

Deeppa Record is turning five with a superb two-part compilation, and this second half dives into deeper waters than the first. It comes from a mix of both longtime contributors and contemporary artists whose evolving sounds inspire the label’s direction today. Lars Behrenroth remix kick off with a tender and vulnerable deep house sound and Christophe Salin’s gets more physical but no less gooey with its lush pads and rubbery kicks. Elsewhere, Thierry Tomas layers up lush r&b vocals and warming synth hues, Darryl Baalki brings jazzy expression to his fulsome house grooves and Eloi’s ‘Take Your Time’ is a dusty closer laced up with lovely pianos. This is house for mature dance floors.
