This milestone 20th label release features the work of an artist we’re really happy to be featuring.  Fehrplay (aka Jonas Fehr) – our favorite Norwegian musical juggernaut makes a celebrated debut on the Vested Recordings imprint.  With a shared history of playing shows together over the last 10 years, Fehrplay and label head RJ Pickens have gotten used to flying in similar musical airspace, and it’s truly a pleasure to feature a really lovely and unique piece of original music, birthed in Jonas’ new studio over this unprecedented period in human history that we’re all navigating together.

“San Pedro” is a delightfully-quirky yet irresistibly-driving fusion of contemporary techno and progressive house sounds, destined for dark rooms and late nights.  Inspired by San Pedro, the South American plant medicine, this composition takes hypnotic twists and psychedelic turns.  In gorgeous contrast, it is fueled by a dark and powerful percussion arrangement while at the same time garnished with light melodics that bring balance and order to the darkness.

Take your dose, close your eyes, and have a wonderful journey.

'District 47 is a new label and event brand that champions underground house and deep techno.

The label's first release is a debut from RawW who bursts onto the scene with a two track EP that blends hypnotic percussion rhythms with immersive synth lines. Building in both suspense and intensity, RawW’s debut release shows an instant pedigree.

His style is reminiscent of other artists such as Reset Robot, Tiefschwarz and Steve Bug.

“The Beginning” opens the release with brooding atmospherics that are soon accompanied by the stabbing lead synth. Its methodical groove builds a steady momentum as it builds towards the tantalising breakdown that ends with kick drum plunging the track back into an enthralling darkness.

“If You Want” starts with an ominous bassline and thrashing hi-hat that forms a foundation for dubby pads and the muffled tones of a haunting vocal sample, which is soon joined by a full vocal section that’s reminiscent of Depeche Mode’s iconic style.

Both tracks are dance floor focused cuts with an infectious energy and sublet melodic elements, which combine to deliver an immersive experience that’s underpinned by a thumping kick drum.'
