The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive. Apparel Tronic comes back after the heat of summer introducing the first V/A on the catalogue (Varioustronic 1) as well as its 10th release overall. 
This 3 tracks V/A is an ambitious project that unites 3 great artists with diverse approaches to music production, 3 different minds and visions, 3 declination of the same verb brought together under the same roof, our roof. 
We always like to experiment, to try and push our boundaries over again in everything we do and surely this is an organic evolution to the so-called “Bliss-Beat”: the identificative concept behind our ideas. 
The 3 producers we chose, Anton Kubikov, Artizhan & Tommy Vicari Jr. need no introduction so we’re simply grateful to them for their availability to huddle up and create some great music for one cause and it’s surprising how the three tracks, colliding, offer different but likeminded perspectives, like fragmenting planets creating new ones.
This release is the result of 2 years of research, ending up choosing Anton’s “Freak Out Little Bit”, Artizhan’s “Birthday” and Tommy’s “Conceal” amongst many others.
APLTRONIC010 V/A is clear for the take-off, on vinyl and digital versions, and we hope you’ll like it!

Argentina continues to assert itself as a hub of melodic mastery, with a heady group of amazing producers providing a steady stream of grooves from across the electronic spectrum. We’ve been lucky to harness the Argentinian conquest with Hernan Cattaneo, Alejandro Mosso, and Facundo Mohrr appearing on our imprints; we are thrilled to continue this exploration with Lisandro joining the South American roster.

With releases on Lost Desert’s Souksonic and Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, Lisandro has the attention of some of the scene’s longest serving tastemakers. He has a distinct knack for rich soundscapes and soaring melodies, often with a tinge of psychedelic nature in the background. For Lisandro’s debut on TOR, we proudly present the Void EP.

Closing out the trio, we have the vivacious Serenade. Percussion connects with wind instruments, centered around a progressive kick that keeps energy moving throughout the track. Fluttering melodies and timeless sounds shape a stellar tune, perhaps the pick of the bunch.

Goddess Durga is one of the main, especially revered goddesses in the Vedic pantheon. She represents the energy opposed to the forces that threaten prosperity and the light Dharma. It also manifests itself as a force that destroys the Universe before the new Creation, due to which there is a change in the cycles of existence of the universe. Durga is a manifestation of the feminine divine principle - shakti. The female part of the Vedic pantheon of gods, all the variety of goddesses thereof is only a reflection of the many aspects of the powerful power of Shakti. Durga is characterized by decisiveness, persistence in achieving the intended goal, invincibility, an ardent desire to overcome the opposing forces on the Path. She creates and destroys, shows humility and at the same time uncontrollability, puts on bright good qualities and at the same time can show rage and instill fear. She is the patronizing mother goddess. In order to restore Dharma and harmony in this world, the gods combined their powers into a single divine energy of Shakti.

Romchay - Durga

The Soundgarden’s Winter Collection 2020 is here and will leave you reminiscing of dancing under a Tulum sunset.

Bruno Andrada opens the collection with enchanting percussion and electrifying synths that dance across his 10-minute track A Hidden Part Of You. Next up, it’s Lisandro (AR) and NAHS with Sea. The duo have collaborated to produce a hypnotic track combining quintessential electronic beats with juxtaposing ethereal classical chords. Upbeat drums persist throughout with melancholy strings softening the experience creating a diverse and engaging 7 minutes. 

Taking you on a journey from warehouse rave to a euphoric tranquil state is Anhauser, Nicolas Leonelli and Lio Q with their ode to underground house, Lorean. Then, jumping straight in with a soulful melodic beat, Ultraverse’s Felicita dominates the collection. With eerie vocals, overlapping steelpan notes and a strong backbeat, no corners of the audio spectrum have been left untouched. 

Eternal Seconds is a transcendent electronic track presented by Bautista Toniolo, which breathes new life into a variety of classic electronic sounds. After appearing on previous The Soundgarden collections, LeSonic is back with a collaboration with Wassu and their ecstatic track, In Aere. Perfectly blending electrifying synths and upbeat percussion this track is full of ecstasy which is impossible to ignore. 

We’re now reaching the halfway point, and Chris Cargo’s Prism hits us with a signature progressive house sound that many have been itching for. With each element balanced flawlessly, the song beautiful builds to a balanced drop leaving you yearning for the feeling of being in a crowd. Up next, Leo Roth’s Camps combines experimental tempos with an intoxicating synth loop earning its place on the collection.

Slowing building up momentum, RIGOONI’s contribution towards the Winter Collection, A Horse and a Blowing Horn, invites you to enjoy multiple climatic drops. With modified dystopian sounds layered upon a timeless backbeat a coherent and intriguing sound is produced. Next up, Deviu’s Make Me Feel is the gift that keeps on giving. The track continually evolves throughout the six minutes and yet still manages to create a cohesive soundscape. 

Finding grace amongst the chaos is the upbeat electronic sound of Ivan Aliaga’s Fire Drop with the brightness of the synths shining through. Ramiro Drisdale and Francisco Garcia’s Mirrors is next up, and it combines textures to create a multifaceted rhythm that elevates audiences while keeping the vibe of the evening alive. Weird Sounding Dude presents the penultimate track, Embarkment, blending the essence of techno with progressive house creating a refreshingly euphoric melody. Finishing off the Collection, Mike Griego’s My Last Hope is filled with glossy synths and contains a plethora of sounds with dancefloor detonating potential.

After such a rambunctious reception to his first appearance on the inaugural Tales of Romance, it was only right to have Magent back as he continues his conquest of innovative groove. Radius is brimming with character; the percussive high end meets a punchy bassline, as the track grows more hearty with each bar. A wicked vocal samples meets the main kick, taking this into proper dancefloor tool territory.

We welcome a new figure to the TOR imprint as we enter the heart of the release. Hailing from southern Italy, Nick Scofield quickly impressed us with his range and diversity in production style through the demo process. Afro, progressive, and classic house all have their place in his toolbox. Birds is a great representation of the new name on the scene, enlisting an effortlessly energetic kick and natural sampling. A sound that speaks for itself!

Our beloved Brazilian Pedro Capelossi is still fresh off his jaw dropping debut with TOR, the enigmatic Haute Couture EP. We couldn’t be happier to have him back so soon with the ominous Strain Hunters. Darker tones seep into view, with haunting synths meeting distant vocal progressions. A vibrant synth stab continues the knod to electro influences; a track that drifts smoothly onwards.

Leading the project is Somelee, a Ukrainian artist well known for a lovely melancholic & melodic production style. Recent gems on Radiant and Dawn till Dusk have us eager to present his A-side ‘Luna’. While the ever-present backbone of dreamy melodies and blissed out drums ease us through the early stages, the electro-oriented lead synth steals the show with immense character.

July 2020 saw Meanwhile’s third release feature Dutch icon, Roger Martinez with a three-track EP that was a soothing tonic for troubled times. Now returning to “Cosmic” a trio of remixes come from Jamie Stevens, Paul Deep and label head-honchos, GMJ & Matter.

An Australian legend with ARIAS to his name and a host of production credits for the likes of Bedrock, All Day I Dream and Replug, Jamie Stevens makes his Meanwhile debut with a typically impressive reworking of “Cosmic Drum”. Finding a new rhythmic path with trademark ingenuity and craftsmanship, a laid-back groove paves the way for a heavily effected and pulsating lead melody to wend its way across the eight-minute track. Making innovative use of Martinez’s original components, Stevens has created an elegant reworking that builds through rich harmonic layers transforming the original into a dynamic and highly original new remix.

Born and raised in the sprawling Buenos Aries metropolis, Paul Deep has spent his entire teenage years and adult life immersed in the underground dance scene. An accomplished DJ with a penchant for deep and progressive house with a splash of techno thrown in for good measure, his original music for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, sit neatly alongside remixes for Beat Boutique, MNL and Mango Alley. Another Meanwhile debutant, Paul Deep retains the rich rhythmic collage of “Cosmic Drum” as the familiar melodies from Martinez’s track also waft across proceedings, coated in reverb and filtered tape delays.
