TOR and the When We Dip team are eager to announce the label’s signature release series with the inaugural Tales of Romance VA. As we set the early foundations of TOR’s sound and creative direction, this release is our unveiling of the pillars of the imprint in the years to come. The series will serve as the hub of our long-term artist relationships, fostering a collective of forward-thinking and bountiful producers, and providing a platform for exploration.

Rounding out the inaugural Tales of Romance, we have a man near and dear to the label team, Maaruo. The Montrealer has been working his way through amazing productions over the last year, including his remix for Budakid’s Quixotic on XYZ. He has some top drawer projects in store, and we’re lucky to have him on board. Vivaces is the perfect closer, with moments of tranquility flowing into sincere energy, summarizing the journey and leaving us happily dazed.

From Disco to Techno – The Story of Fragmnt 

Born with country roots and a restless creative soul, Ashley Finessi (Fragmnt) channels raw emotion and connection through music. What began as curiosity has evolved into a deep devotion —a lifelong dialogue between rhythm, energy, and the human spirit.

 His journey truly began in the UK, where a small DJ competition became the spark that lit an obsession. Nights in Norwich’s underground clubs shaped his sound — hypnotic, melodic, and deeply human. The dancefloor became his sanctuary, a place where stories unfold without words.

Returning to Australia, Fragmnt found his tribe within Perth’s thriving electronic scene. His sets weave between the sensual pull of melodic house, the drive of progressive, and the pulse of techno fluid, immersive, and always connected to the moment. 

He has shared the stage with icons like Guy J, Patrice Bäumel, Khen, Mariano Mellino, Ezequiel Arias, GMJ & Matter, Dosem, and Funkform, Jamie Stevens, Emi Galvan — artists whose soundscapes mirror his own journey through emotion and groove. 

As the founder and curator of BIOMA, Fragmnt extends his artistry beyond performance — crafting spaces where sound, connection, and culture intertwine. 

Each set is a narrative — a slow burn that builds, breathes, and unfolds. 

Fragmnt doesn’t just play music; he tells stories through frequencies, guiding listeners through deep textures, subtle tension, and transcendent release.

Passionné de musique depuis son plus jeune âge, bercé par la new wave, le rock , le punck ou la variété française, #AMARO débute son parcours d artiste sous le pseudo de RINO . Il commence d abord par le mix hard core , passe par tous les styles pour terminer sur la tribal house . Après 17ans de mix et plusieurs grosses dates , il se retire de la scène et se lance dans la composition en se découvrant une passion pour les synthétiseurs. Il renoue avec les sonorités new wave de son enfance. Depuis il compose un live techno mélodique avec des leads aériens couples à des basse lines profondes en passant par des rythmiques tribals et percusives qui susciteront vos émotions en vous transportant dans son univers.
