Recent appearances on Seven Villas and Kindisch continued a fruitful period for the Canadian, before the sensational Alleghanys caught the ears of XYZ faithful around the world on our 2021 edition of Blanche.

Wildfire continues the late night vibes, with analog-tinged synth work riding alongside deep house drumwork. Piano chords ebb and flow, offering momentary respite, before the bountiful groove stirs us back into a two-step; a versatile tool for the deep melodic heads.

Mitch returns to XYZ during the peak of summer for his first solo EP on the label - Exil. On the title track, an understated flow eases us into the groove as percussions provide flavor in the early stages. Vocalist Tea Verdene seizes attention with a graceful performance, allowing the low-end melodies to venture forth throughout this melancholic opener.

As the summer eases out of sight, we revisit Mitch Oliver’s first solo EP on the label, Exil. Taking the reins with his own rendition is one of the grooviest gents around - Facundo Mohrr. As one of the most forward thinking producers in the deep & melodic scene, Mohrr has surged onto the international stage in recent years. With projects on the likes of TRYBESof & Do Not Sit, Facundo has asserted himself as one of the most influential taste-makers to come out of Argentina since Hernan Cattaneo.

Harnessing inspiration from a rejuvenating weekend of shows in NYC recently, Facundo captures a perfect sunday flow with his remix of Exil. Playful synths snap into focus on top of punchy kicks, as the vocal performance from Tea Verdene receives a psychedelic twist. Facundo produces yet another unpredictable groover that has become the signature of his sound, balancing immense dancefloor effect with bespoke melodic character.

SLAPPED Records delivers a new take on Mitch Oliver’s hit single ‘Control Z’ featuring Might Delete Later.

This remix comes from a long time friend of Mitch’s, Mustafa Ismaeel, who takes the nostalgic essence of the original and blends in his signature groovy bassline & drums, along with a touch of deep-housey keys and chords.

Control Z (Mustafa Ismaeel Remix) is out on January 17, 2025, leading a remix EP to follow in February.

Released via Mitch’s SLAPPED Records, and accompanied by his first official music video, this intoxicating excursion weaves hypnotic vocal refrains through crystalline production, transforming longing into a celebration of possibility. "It's a fun, flirty track about putting the vibes out there," reveals Keilimei, “let the tides take us where they may”.

Making a return for his third single release shot on Hive Audio, alongside many remixes and compilation features that is SOAME. For his latest outing, the „Honey EP“, the prolific Zurich-based producer teams up with Animor on vocal duties, delivering good vibes and proper deep grooves for dancefloors worldwide.

The original version of the title track „Honey“ brings on pure vibes and late night mystique, meandering in between Deep- and TechHouse, providing a untouched naturalistic atmosphere, progressive, spatial bass works and – as it tunes' center piece – a set of ever floating, ethereal vocals delivered by Animor which makes the tune stand out in every selection, especially due to its tender, caressing and beautifully stretched breakdown sequence.

Definition on remix duties transfers „Honey“ to a playful, caressing early morning level, adding large scale panoramic strings and intricate, interweaving melodic elements perfectly matching Animor's distinct vocals and turning this remix into a tune to play throughout the very minutes before sunrise, sending entire dancefloors to ecstatic heavens filled with nothing but love.

With his nothing short of outstanding Force EP on Compost Records, prodigious Laolu pushes his boundaries even further and provides us with a refreshing and yet poignant travel through his vision of afro inspired house music. In addition to this musical marvel comes a long-awaited vinyl exclusive Laolu Remix of Sophie Hungers There Is Still Pain Left, one that will be remembered. It received heavy support already by the likes of Solomun, Marcus Worgull, Trikk and Eagles & Butterflies!

Released on Innervisions at the end of 2015, Laolu's remix of Dele Sosimi's 'Too Much Information' has been a number one hit and Dixon and Ame's favourite track of the year. Laolu was born out of the love of a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother who, most appropriately, met in a record store in Berlin. He spent his first years in Nigeria where his parents owned "The Gallery", a club dedicated to Jazz and Soul. And so his musical education began. After relocating to France, he attended a music school in order to learn saxophone and music theory, but upon discovering Detroit techno pioneers Derrick May and Carl Craig at the age of 18, he sold his saxophone to buy his first drum machine.

He then moved to Geneva where he started DJing and met Kadebostan, who quickly became a musical co-conspirator in the studio and as a DJ partner. In 2010, Laolu released his first EP "O Fantasma" on the young Berlin based label Clap Your Hands. A deep tune for special club moments. During the following years, his collaborations and solo work have led him to produce music for labels including Innervisions, Defected, Compost Records, Get Physical, Weapons, Freude Am Tanzen, Clap Your Hands, Mental Groove, Jalapeno Records and Soundway Records. He kicked off 2014 writing and producing Sene Kela for Mr Raoul Ks new album, which gathered love and support from Dixon, Mano Le Tough and more.

As a DJ, he has built a solid reputation in his hometown of Geneva, but also played across Europe in Berlin, Paris , Krakow and Tbilisi. Ruff techno, heart warming house, his style both sophisticated and raw at once allows him to swing moods and match the feverish atmosphere of any club.
