When We Dip XYZ presents the ‘Swim In Memories' EP from producers Presia and Roo. Presia has released on respected imprints such as Isolate, microCastle & Moodmusic, crafting high-quality cuts under his very own ‘Grunge House' sub-genre. Roo stormed the scene recently with a collaboration on Samer Soltan's Sanctuary Music, which was remixed by Marcus Worgull. He's also brought some of the most interesting artists in the scene to his hometown of Amman, Jordan, under the Vudu and U Roof brands.

On the eponymous ‘Swim In Memories', subtle chords match the soothing vocals from Presia speaking of healing one's soul through calming the mind. The arp and horn-like pluck rise in intensity as they lead the way through the electronic ballad.

‘Cut' showcases a sharp jump in energy as ethereal vocal chops and the ‘Cut' ad-lib rest on a sharp snare and bulky kick. The table is set for Presia who delivers a spirited guitar solo straight from the hip.

‘Until It Breaks' conveys a melancholic feel as the breakbeat groove and saturated bass is complemented by the evolving pads, arps and textures.

On the final track, the post-rock induced ‘Guelai', a robotic voice narrates its poetry through the industrial textures, watery glitches and risers.

An artist with a rich and varied production portfolio to his name, Patrick Carrera is synonymous with some of the finest modern underground dance music through his MUUI production moniker. Making his Proportion debut, the Australian artist now delivers his 'Otro Mundo / Outside Your Body' EP.

'Outside Your Body' is a chugging rhythmic gem that quickly gathers momentum through driving kick and shaker-fuelled top-line. Melodic intrigue is created through a mesmerising motif that filters across the 10-minute piece while glassy keys and counterpoint phrases cascade off each other in a sensual aural collage. It is a pleasure for When We Dip XYZ to welcome two artistic projects to the family with this 'Swim In Memories' remix pack. Luca Saporito and Last Men On Earth may be a generation apart, yet offer similarly refined takes on 'Swim In Memories' for the former and 'Cut' for the Argentinian duo.

Luca Saporito dubs some vocals from Presia into ad-libs as well as crafting a track that breathes through his minimalistic approach. The delayed claps release high levels of energy as the parts from the original are accentuated through the arrangement.

For their interpretation, Last Men On Earth fiddle with the vocal textures and analog tones of the original as well as incorporating live drums on top of the industrial ambience and spoken word speech.
