Kora is the musical project of Mikael B Robillard, a planet Earth citizen with his family tree rooted in Québec, Canada. From childhood tunes with Grandma to co-founding the Saisons Musique label & collective, Mikael's journey is a testament to music's power to unite. With extended DJ sets at his Stereo Montréal residency and performances on global stages in many corners of our beautiful planet, Kora's sound is a tale of passion and purpose.

Kora has performed worldwide alongside renowned artists and remixed tracks for Ludovico Einaudi, Mercan Dede, Poranguí, Husa & Zeyada, and others who inspire him. With a diverse discography spanning electronic genres on labels like Decca, Kindisch, and Anjunadeep, Kora is now on the path to share his debut album, "Azimuth.” This multimedia piece is being released in four chapters, exploring soundscapes inspired by the Boréal forest where he grew up, with the purpose of inviting listeners on an inner journey to reconnect with nature.

With a humble spirit and unwavering dedication, he crafts sonic landscapes that resonate globally. You are welcome to join the adventure, as there's always room for one more!

Cycle 40 // Kora

XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the underground's finest selectors.

Redfreya delivers this week's episode. The DJ & producer is a resident at Beat Club LDN & runs her weekly show on Bloop Radio. She also just hosted label mainstays Presia & Motip White at her Redfreya & friends event in London and will be featured on our ADE Showcase on October 18th at Bar Feijoa. 

In this hour mix, she plays tunes from the label such as 'Straight To The Sun' by Motip White & Schlepp Geist's 'Chord Society' as well as topping things off with one of her own unreleased tracks.

As a producer, DJ, and co-founder of Saisons Musique, a Montréal-based label inspired by nature’s cycles, he crafts immersive sets and productions released on labels like Decca, Kindisch, and Anjunadeep. 

His remix collaborations, including work with Ludovico Einaudi and Mercan Dede, bridge electronic and acoustic worlds. After 16 years of dancefloor-driven music, his debut album Azimuth explored ambient and cinematic realms, reflecting his passion for music as a tool for inner discovery. With performances in 50+ cities across 30+ countries, Kora continues to share his deep, emotive sound worldwide.

On this Balance Selections mix, the Canadian artist delivers a beautiful mix of organic, deep and dubby house. Featuring tracks from Sven Weismann, Nicola Cruz, Hernan Cattaneo & Simply City and more, this mix is equal parts soothing and grooving.
