UNIQUE SERIES 5
Golden Wings Music celebrates their seventh anniversary with the fifth edition of their popular ‘Unique Series'. Released in 2014, the inaugural edition was not only the label's first ever release but it also set the course for what has been a remarkable seven-year history.

Featured on the first installment was a cross section of the underground's finest progressive music talents including Rich Curtis, Marc Poppcke, Sonic Union, Scotty.A, Ioan Gamboa, Tvardovsky and Nikko.Z.

Golden Wings carefully selects each release to move their vision forward, building a close-knit family of scene veterans, while nurturing new talents such as Fran Serra, Robin Thurston and Rokazer. It's this cohesive blend of artists which has made the label bold, innovative and a standout in their field.

Their quality over quantity philosophy has never wavered, even as our musical times have gotten progressively more congested. The Argentinean imprint has stuck to their core values and now after months of carefully curating new submissions, the label unveils the fifth installment of 'Unique Series' in celebration of their seventh anniversary. Featured on the collection (in order of appearance) are Ryan Sullivan, Oscar Vazquez, Kamilo Sanclemente, Golan Zocher, Rage & Rodrigo Cortazar, Gux Jimenez, Eze Colombo, Ram-J & Sheism, Jeff Honor, Katrin Souza and Abity Enjoy!

Zenna is a newcomer on the scene, hailing from Dublin. He cuts deep into the groove on About You, with a broken beat setting the foundation. Delayed analog synths and filtered pads connect for an easy-riding melody; an impressive debut from the up-and-comer.

Russian artist Dave Shtorn returns to our PHW Elements division with yet another astonishing warm and melodic production, this one named as “Elliptical Estate”. With his superb melodic arrangements, warm textures and always crisp and moody basslines, he once again proves himself with another glorious original on the label. We will always welcome him back on the label of course with productions like this. It’s definitely one to not miss out on. 

On remix duty we hear 2 brand new additions to the label with Peruvian artist Vandelor being first out. With a string of releases through his alias he’s become an artist that is held high in the genre of organic house and progressive. He’s definitely a name that is on the rise, getting more and more recognition and we are as excited as ever to bring him on the label flagship. With crisp percussion, emotional textures and still keeping original ideas to sense that one, he proves his skills with a heartwarming production not to be missed. It’s a true pleasure having him and we do hope a few more will get to know his music and productions skills through this fine work of musical art. 

We of course also delighted to see Brazilian native Peve make echoes through the label for the first time as he turned in a majestic organic house styled remake on “Elliptical Estate”. It’s surely another winner from him, including those rich, deep and emotional textures that he is getting more and more known for. As said, we are as excited as ever and truly happy and honored to see him team up with us!

The Bedrock and Sudbeat regular is rooted in Detroit and Chicago influences, yet pulls from various modern melodic methods in a pristine blend of house and techno. The Japanese maestro has crafted a boastful reputation throughout an illustrious career, as is evident by his continued support from the likes of John Digweed and Ian O’Donovan. We’re honored to host the next chapter of Satoshi’s journey in the form of Colour Drops.

Palm opens with a punchy percussive rhythm, quickly giving way to elongated melodic swoops and classic piano chords. It’s the perfect closer to a project that floats along in seamless style, showcasing the Satoshi Fumi sound we all needed to hear this spring.
