The Canadian’s sound balances driven beats with emotive melodics, and organic influences with searing synthetics. With appearances on our Tales of Romance series, Blanche II, and his debut EP all coming within the last couple of months, Tyler continues to harness new sounds and innovative productions aimed at the dancefloor.

City of Light forms the middle ground on the EP. Hearty synth-work connects with sturdy drums and tripped out vocal chops. Soothing, yet driven, this could be a tool in any DJs bag. The bountiful kick carries us forward, while the bridge offers brief respite.

The EP is a work of entirely modern construction, and yet it owes its origins to the ages. Programmed and produced to carry emotional weight and melodic reward in a digital age, here are the threads of a culture lost and found; spiritual, material, imagined, remembered, and mythologised.
“This EP came out of a book I read” explains Abel who was born in Casablanca and lives in Marrakesh, “the civilization of Amazigh culture, it was a maze, a maze of how people can be merged into each other and still keep the colors and sounds alive along thousands of years, an authenticity kept being modernized, and it will still be.”
This conception of a cultural maze, an expanding sphere of colors and sounds, picked up and put down, built and borrowed, timeless and modern is an abstract for Abel Ray’s four track Labyrinth EP.
At the height of their collective power the Amazigh civilization ranged across north Africa to southern Europe, it conquered and was humbled, it absorbed and it overcame, it has dissolved and yet it precipitates throughout our world. Today the Amazigh are over 50million people, large minority populations in Morocco, Algeria, Libya, across Africa and Europe, a culture at once ancient and contemporary.

Skenna appeared on Manual Music twice already, releasing 'Dancing With Luna' on the most recent Manualism compilation, and with 'One Of These Days' which is still available via their populair free download series.

On 'You Look Like You EP' you'll find one solo track by Skenna with an additional remix by Riigs, and two collaborative efforts. The overall vibe is deep, dreamy, moody and melancholic. Three laid back dancefloor cuts with a beatless piece of electronica to end the release in style, only leaving the listener longing for more.. And that's the good things about it all; more work from these talented lads already signed and confirmed for releases on Manual Music later this year!

Diving into the depths of Spring, we’re excited to reconnect with Eduardo McGregor. The Mexican maestro has graced the likes of Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and Go Deeva, showcasing a knack for afro-driven grooves, percussive rhythms, and rich melodies. He’s a unique talent within dance music - a multi instrumentalist, composer, and educator.

McGregor’s true musicianship brought distinct quality to his debut EP with TOR, I Fall. We now revisit the project with a remix roster brimming with some of the finest heads in the modern deep house, writing the next chapter of the project’s journey.

Jim Rider is a man on a mission, and hasn’t let the global silence slow him down. The Londoner continued to impress with his recent project on TRYBESof, and now he hops into the TOR rotation to flip I Fall… twice! Rider keeps the track in dance territory with his remix, bringing a touch of eastern electronics to greet the driven groove. He also completely reimagines the original in his ambient reprise, dropping the kick and allowing the instrumental to reign free.
