Frik grew up in a small farming village near Belgium’s border with the Netherlands. He completed his studies in Ghent and Antwerp, earning degrees in information technology and emergency medical services. Later, he pursued advanced business education with an MBA from Flanders Business School and another from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. These academic experiences provided him with a diverse skill set that combines technical expertise, strategic management, and entrepreneurial insight.

Before relocating to Belize, Frik spent over a decade leading ventures in real estate, construction, food production, and technology. He launched and invested in more than twenty startups, several of which merged with larger firms or were successfully sold. His European career included overseeing the construction and sale of more than one hundred residential properties, experiences that honed his ability to scale projects and deliver consistent results across multiple markets.

Frik first visited Belize in 2004 with his partner, Ilse Van Keer, and recognized the country’s untapped potential in real estate. Through his guidance, the company expanded from a small team into one of Belize’s leading firms, growing its transaction volume, professional staff, and portfolio of high-end listings that drew international clients and developers.

In 2023, Frik founded Prime Belize Real Estate, a modern agency designed for efficiency, flexibility, and client transparency.
