So finally here is a decent / mastered version of the Sheila Hylton's Surface cover. I am really happy & honoured to bring a little more light on this track from her, with her blessings furthermore :)

Ebony Cuts been working good on the remastering of the track! Here is a low res mp3 preview of the track that originally came out as a Jamaican 7" & which is now hard to find. I edited the two sides to make it last longer. Still some modifications need to be performed but you can start to enjoy it people!

Over thirty-five years since initial release, and long acclaimed by collectors, DJs and dance music fans, the time is ripe to share Billy’s music once more. 

Originally privately released in a small run on Billy’s own label Tee Records, Kalita’s 12” reissue single features both the vocal and incredible dub mix versions of ‘Prisoner Of My Weakness’, plus a brand-new phenomenal remix courtesy of Waxist, produced using the original multitrack analogue master tapes.

With original copies selling for triple figures on the rare occasion that they come up for sale, Kalita now deliver a loud and remastered 12” single for all.

Berlin pillar Charlie Smooth is back at it, spreading good vibes with a new EP of beautiful tracks. After seven years of organizing and playing his infamous "Get Deep" parties at "About Blank" where he was a pioneer of bringing the disco and balearic sound to Berlin’s house scene, Charlie has started a new chapter as one of the founders of Smooth Operators (a Berlin Bass Collective imprint). On this debut release, all four tracks are examples of true digger’s delights and super rare, esoteric sounds. B2 "El Fan" is an edit of the groovy song by the 70's Algerian singer Aït Meslayen. Out on September 29th, 2017.

Focusing once again on the Modern Soul genre, the album brings back to light eight extremely rare songs from the mid-70's to the mid-80's, all officially licensed.

From the heavy synth Gospel Boogie of Sharnell Morton's "You Are My Shining Star" to the magnificent Network & Co private Disco "Spirit Of The Boogie", most of these songs are highly challenging to find on their original format, not to mention at a decent price. Direct Connect Shun "He's No Good" records have been destroyed in a flood, and the few copies which have sold on the Internet reach the 3 figures price tags for example. Also, the album is proud to introduce to a wider audience some lesser-known but exceptional recordings such as Janice "Nikki" Harrison's "Magic Of Love" which is taken from a Broadway musical produced & composed by Ted Wortham - who also composed for Philadelphia International Recordings artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, Anthony White or Jean Carn.

Message In Our Music Volume 2 has been fully remastered, and features interview-based liner notes, along with never seen before pictures of the artists selected.
