I will always remember those moments at the Nomads festival when Red Greg would close down the Lumberjacks in Hell stage and time stood oddly still, the sunset behind the trees and a warm breeze driving through the crowd. After several hours of dancing, everybody on the dancefloor was familar with each other, the first five rows or so anyway. I remember Rahaan, Mendel, Dieuwer, Robbert, Sam and Bram of course, Kim, Chiara... and Ben! 
The thought ringing through my head, this is as good as it gets. No matter where else you chose to travel to, this is the perfect moment and nothing could make it better. 
All of these Nomads days and nights merge into each other, not least because we had Darren celebrate with us somewhere around 2-4 times. One year it was Sylvester's - Over & Over at ten to eleven, the second last song of the day, that captured on video, encapsuled every emotion that needed to be captured.
I am not able to recall all of the music from those sessions. I remember his legendary blends that have lead you into the next epic groover long before you even realized it's a new tune. Never missing a beat and forever leaving you with a smile and a "damn" on your lips. 
Where did that coming from and how much higher can we go?

Red Greg, take us back to those beautiful moments of freedom and joy.

So that was the final night at the Paradise Farage. Sadly the club has had to be closed down, demolished and the site turned into a giant lorry park as a result of Brexit. For our last show, we travelled to Ray Mang's studio and streamed live from deepest East London with Mr Mang himself, a Leftside Wobble guest mix and me. Live DJ Set  recorded on Saturday June 20th @ Le Sucre club in Lyon for the Black Summer where I was playing along with Sadar Bahar from Chicago & Fabylicious from Lyon. 

That was great fun & one of the best party I had recently, with a high energy crowd dancing till daylight! 

To add some fun, one of the turntables had a damaged arm, so blendings were quite difficult & we had to replace it during Sadar's set - which was simply incredible as usual!

Recorded "LIVE" on Easter Sunday, 2019 - Here's a nice long (just under 5 hours) taste from what was a beautiful 8 hour journey of sensational music curated on the fly by the super combo of GE-OLOGY and RED GREG (both amazing in their own right), whose individual and combined music knowledge, chemistry, insane record collections, and masterful DJ skills WOW'd the Selectors Stage audience at DEKMANTEL a few years ago when they first paired up to play back-to-back. Ever since, it's been a treat to see these guys team up on a few more occasions...and the 6th birthday celebration for the FEVER 105 crew was no exception! Pure musical bliss....enjoy!

Some Chicago disco royalty rolling through on the SB Guest mix series this morning... @Rahaan has been spinning house and disco since the 80’s and has amassed a truly enviable music collection in that time. 

He has also been earning plaudits for his production skills with some truly outstanding releases. Recently he has released on some key labels including Lumberjacks In Hell, Street Edits and Dopeness Galore. His tracks are steeped in dancefloor groove, music made by a DJ with the sole intention of moving that floor. So get the mix on for the next hour and a bit and let those sunny vibes wash over you.

Not that he's new on the scene; Mendel hosts top class nights I Love Vinyl and The Daisy Age in his hometown Amsterdam and he's been digging hard since he made the cross over to more varied sounds from his Hip Hop early days. One need only to listen to any one of the mixes he has up on his soundcloud page to discover the depth of his skills at both digging and spinning. One might argue that Mendel is amongst the next generation of a lineage that runs through Rahaan, Kon & Amir, Rich Medina, Sadar Bahar and even our friend Marcel Vogel.
