"Currents is a 20-minute looping video piece accompanying a live DJ set by LDS, created for the collectives X hoch X and Augmented Research. The piece plunges viewers into a continuous visual journey through a dreamlike, subaquatic world—where the viewer drifts seamlessly from one aquarium to another.
Integrating AI-driven video and image generation techniques, the artist stitches together long sequences of filmed underwater footage with algorithmically generated transitions. The result is a meditative sequence of submerged environments—green-tinged algae tanks, murky aquatic chamber vistas, and fish-filled expanses—blurring the boundary between the real and the artificial.
The work eschews traditional narrative structures and hard cuts in favour of continuous, fluid transitions. These flowing narrative structure echo the transient nature of water itself and point to new possibilities for storytelling—ambient, immersive and in constant transformation. Through this fluid choreography of visuals, Currents proposes an alternative mode of guiding audience attention: not through directive edits, but through suggestion, motion, and atmosphere. 
This piece reflects the artist's ongoing exploration of how AI can be used not just as a generative tool, but as a method for rethinking narrative continuity, perceptual immersion, and the construction of visual rhythm."

Kicking off a stacked CENTER BOOTH Season 2 is the Porto-raised, Berlin-based Mauro Ventura, better known to techno fans as DJ Saliva. Founder of the long-running Porto queer-centered party series Arena Spa Superiora, Ventura is also a resident DJ and label manager at Herrensauna and an accomplished visual artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, installation and performance. He has played at world-leading venues and festivals including BASEMENT, Tresor, Nuits Sonores, Body Movements, Bassiani and RSO Berlin, sometimes B2Bing with crew mates such as CEM and Salome with electrifying results. We’re thrilled to have him grace CENTER BOOTH with this enigmatic, eclectic set brimming with energy and texture. 

Across 65 compelling minutes, DJ Saliva dips in and out of genres and styles including gothy, plangent techno, subterranean acid, wiggly tech-house, psychedelic IDM, and Carribean rhythms. The mixing is mostly fast, loose, and unsuspecting, whether he’s dropping dancehall into springy, electrifying techno, chasing Karenn’s gnarly “Crush The Mushrooms” with glowy braindance, or breaking up Latin percussion with ravey psytrance. There are moments of tension throughout, an admirable amount of risk-taking, and an experimental quality to the set that makes it feel as though DJ Saliva is taking the trip alongside you, guided by his fervent curiousity, and always landing somewhere slick (the electro-grunge Garbage closer is chef’s kiss).

Co-founder of London’s FLINTA label, event and mix series Technomate (@technomateclub), London-based artist olesia single-handedly brings powerhouse energy and initiative to all endeavours under their name.

An advocate for diversity and queer representation across all aspects of their creative work and
day-to-day life, olesia rejects rigid ideas around gender, sexuality and archaic notions within the music industry. As a DJ, olesia explores the different realms of electronic music, seamlessly mixing a diverse range of styles, combining high-tempo, trance-inspired melodies with powerful kickdrums and trippy soundscapes, all brought together with vibrant energy.
