Paita is a project of musician and sound producer Kolya Dolgov, currently living in Moscow.

In 2021 the album "What is not" was released, which became the starting point in the formation of the young artist's style and sound.
Experiments with dub and ambient, explorations of "raw" electronics and new-age, participation in punk bands as a bass-guitarist, moves, travelling, meetings and breakups, love and hate. The line of changes through which both the musician and his lyrical hero passes stretches to the new release "Southern Man".

"Southern Man" is an album-metamorphosis, it is a story or better to say a notebook, about the changes that a young guy goes through. Accustomed to seeing the emptiness of the horizon, he is met with monolithic granite structures, and instead of the great water of the sea, there is now a river winding subtly in channels. 'It's what's inside, but you can listen to it' says Пайта (Paita).

The album features collaborations with label residents FMSAO, Shoom Berez, X.Y.R. , NWIII, as well as guest artists 8luetic and Молох. Here you can hear gentle pop ambient, uncomplicated balearic house, juke and dub.

The life-affirming selector mix was recorded for us by Moscow musician and event organizer, art director of the creative association @okno-club and co-founder of the once existed promo band @altmoscow - Prasdov. In early March, he self-released the album 'Things Happen'. 

«This mix for me is a mix about the arrival of spring. The playlist for it was collected for a few years. It contains respected electronics maestros, as well as some unreleased works of friends and soundcloud favorites. I tried to put the mix together in such a way that it would be pleasant to walk to along a sunny road - in the city, suburbs or mountains by the sea - and be in a good mood. The first track of the mix (after the intro - a dictaphone recording of a conversation with a cab driver) is a composition by Grisha Gorozhanin from a cassette we released on Alta. As Grisha said, the track is based on a recording of a street saxophonist playing at Chistye Prudy, whom he met while he was walking in the beginning of spring to get flowers.
