Composer's notes:
"This is one of the compositions I always liked very much, although I happened to water down the original version with a lot of odd mistakes (can be heard in the demo link above) and one of the most out-of-ideas name you can give a song. This is the 2012-version which I somewhat modified, tweaking the sounds a bit, removing parts what didn't quite sound right to my ears right now 2012 A.D... and so forth. The track is mostly sampled material (sample-cd's or packages), although I did record the electric guitars myself. :-) I have to be honest: there's still a bit of intonation with some instruments. But hey, I'd rather make something new.

I remember suffering from a musical tired-ears-syndrome (and writer's block) just after making this track, which made it impossible for me to listen or compose ANY music for a year or so from that day on.

Anyways, when it comes to demo art, I always liked Martti's (Preacher / Traction) minimalistic productions, and I think I gave forth an idea of making a very special soundtrack for him. He ended up liking it a lot, and so did yours truly: it became a weird, misty, organic, slavic version of what Portishead would've made in 1994 after a trip to eastern europe. Or something like that."

Ullakko ep on tunkkaisten boombap tyylisten biittien tahdittama rääväsuinen suomirap levy, jota kenenkään ei tulisi ottaa liian vakavasti. Levy on tehty täysin omakustanteena.

Ep on syntynyt spontaanisti kahden vuoden aikana. Biitit ovat täysin analogisamplereilla tehtyjä, ja ovat pääosin Pastorin ja Lama-J:n käsialaa.

Ep:llä vierailevat tuottaja Kiuas Beats, räppäri J Kvalia, sekä levyseppä Dj Icey-e. Levyn on miksannut Santeri Pilli "Chill the pill" Pilli, ja masteroinut valmiiksi Tomi "Tähtine " Tähtinen.

Born in Finland, making music since around 1997. Various mediums, platforms, projects, all relatively under the radar except the commercial productions.

I apply a few rules to everything:

1. Only release music that has - to my knowledge - a clear place in the world of overly vast, mostly mediocre musical output.

2. Fight against loudness wars, of course.

3. Try musical styles freely, without restrictions. So should you.
