Hot new dancefloor material from Alex Stein - the Brazilian/Bavarian producer is currently getting props from some of the biggest names in the industry. Releasing here on Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds, Stein is clearly turned into the sound du jour of the underground, producing
here a tight release of slick, driving techno. 'Zeit' needs to be heard on a massive system - it’s a surefire festival and main room winner huge buzzing swells and spacy moments give the track endless drama. 'Atomkraft' is also tough-as-nails  muscular techno with a springy groove and moment of high atmosphere. Hamburg’s own André Winter steps up for a remix of the title track, adding his own signature vibe to proceedings likely to get as much attention as the original.

For his second outing on Senso Sounds, Brazilian DJ / producer Alex Stein drops the Maelstrom EP. Senso is home to all things techno, lovingly curated by label boss Oliver Huntemann, and here Stein unleashes two ferocious tracks that live up the release title. 'Maelstrom' is a driving, lean and mean slice of prime techno goodness. Exhibiting a keen ear for sound design and an even greater sense for drama and tension, Maelstrom is a big room banger with plenty of subtle edges. Likewise, 'Steep' takes no prisoners - crisp percussion and a thick, propulsive kick start things off, before arpeggiated synths, pads and a killer bass pulse take things to the next level. This is techno stripped to its primal energies, and a marks the next step on what promises to be a very interesting career for the man from Sao Paulo.
