Xashrav started studying music in 1998, Tehran, Iran by learning how to play the classical piano. Figuring out he was gifted with an absolute pitch, he also started studying music theory, harmonies and composing for 12 years and then shifted to the alternative rock scene with playing drums and electric guitar.
Xash was obsessed with playing and making music with numerous music bands in different genres an approaches such as progressive rock, alternative metal and traditional persian fusion. Alongside the bands "Mavara", "Achromatic", "Catharsis", "Dangshow" etc. Xash recorded and published pieces and studio albums worldwide and performed live shows in Iran and the international music scene.
After years, with focusing on playing the piano/synth, drums and samples simultaneously on stage, he started writing songs and composing for his solo project with his debut album “Atlantic Ghost Crab” in Decebmer 2014 and the album was released in September 2017.
All the composing, arrangements, instruments (such as piano, synth sounds, rhodes, bass, drums, strings, pads etc.) also all of the sounds, melodies, harmonies, engineering, samples, programming and mixing in his projects are written, played and performed by Xashrav himself but since there has always been an acoustic instrumentation and an organic approach to his music, the songs often include vocal, cello, wood and brass wind parts also written by Xash but performed by guest musicians and songs are recreated with a band on stage.
