Peter Michael Hamel emerged from the 70s Krautrock scene dreaming of “the blue flower growing between the milestones on the road to a future world-music”. A truly visionary artist who worked and studied with John Cage, Morton Feldman and Terry Riley, his 1980 Colours of Time LP - an epic, sprawling, 22-minute saga - was hailed by The Guardian’s Rob Fitzpatrick as “an absolute masterpiece of skull-bursting, synth-led ambient minimalism”. Thirty six years on, Astral Industries reinterpret Hamel's original vision with remixes from two contemporary heavyweights - Wolfgang Voigt and Rod Modell (aka Deepchord). Each expansive interpretation invites you to step outside of reality and into an alternative imagination of Hamel's future world, spiralling into the colours and slowly out of time itself. Original artwork by Theo Ellsworth and a massive thanks to Peter Michael Hamel & Eckart Rahn.

Juanjo Obon is half Dutch and half Spanish and started selecting records in 1987 for Barcelona radios and the first PACHA in the world (Sitges). After that, he has never stopped researching different music styles and trends.

He lives in a rural area in the Tuscan Apennines where he runs his own vineyard and other farmer chores, which means that whenever he is in his studio, he has no exterior influences. This unique atmosphere inspires him to develop a peculiar style, which differs from the underground panorama.

His sets bring together a combination of vinyl records (especially from small labels and self productions) and some analogue toys, like drum machines and synths.

Along with the Italian Luca Franceschini (visuals & electric optical arts), he established LOVETHEMACHINE, an Electro, Minimal, Techno and Nu Wave project born in 2006. LOVETHEMACHINE is now working in a new electronic analogue live, combining different musical backgrounds such as the early Nu Wave, Industrial and the most actual underground Techno, with shards of groovy Indie Dance.

In the last 2 years, Obon performed in more than 120 gigs in Italy, Germany, Spain, England, France, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Hungary, Norway, Switzerland, and is now part of Carajillo Electronique, a Barcelona-based collective devoted only to analogue culture and sounds.

Starting his DJ career off in 1988 Xavier has Dj'd throughout Europe, Australia and Asia, most particularly Japan where he was based for years.

On the production front has worked and collaborated with Juno Reactor, Prime Suspect, Section X, Eat Static, Fuel, Carcharodon Megalodon, VX & H229 (on Machine Label),Marcus Maichel,Shane Berry,Oz Morsley ,and project comming with greg hunter,Marcus Maichel. Presently very active on the new project with pat lazer (aka section x)  REPLICANTS 2049.
