Nicky Oggz is a promising PsyTrance music producer based in Melbourne, Australia. 

After a stint as a DJ, Nicky has shifted his focus from spinning records to music production in recent years.

This new found freedom allowed Nicky to draw inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles and genres to create his innovative, unique sound. 

With a deep love of music, the respect for the rich history of psytrance, and commitment to the craft remains the driving force behind his ability to evolve.

In the pursuit of creating PsyTrance music, Nicky always stays true to his character and unique style seeking to bring PsyTrance to a wider audience all over the world.

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Staten Island, music has been his passion for as long as he can remember. He has been fascinated by music at a very young age. His influences vary from many artists, bands and well known DJ’s. At the age 15 years old, he was introduced to music by a friend who also had a passion for music. The two turntables and mixer his friend had, were the start of his love of music. They were mixing old school Hip Hop such as B.IG. and he loved how you change the song just with a turn of a dial or beat. Shortly, thereafter, Jimmy invested buying his own DJ equipment. This is where his journey began with Djing.

Over time the industry got more advanced, records got harder to get, so Jimmy figured he would try using CD’s. Making it much easier and cheaper to get music it was definitely worth it. Adjusting to the changing times he went digital as far as music organization and delivering but, refused to use a laptop ran music program to perform, and still will not use one. As the main talent of LD Artist management, the group is able to create a unforgettable atmosphere and experience setting stages, sound systems, intelligent lighting setups much more. Jimmy concentrate's on crowd reaction and uses music for everybody’s taste that is attending his venues and parties. Jimmy knows how to read the crowd perfectly and take total control over any dance floor.

His influences are of a wide range, some of the most well known DJ’s such as DJ Jonathan Peters, Masi & Mello, Deadmau5, Robbie Rivera, Danny Teneglia, David Guetta as well as many influences from classic and current rock and hiphop artists. He has made various appearances throughout all of New York and New Jersey. He has been booked for various events at Miami's Winter Music Conference in 2011. In addition, he has worked for Freestyle legends TKA, and Sammy Zone providing music for their performances. He has been booked for many Jersey Shore venues with the addition of playing at Atlantic City's Casbah nightclub located in the Taj Mahal Hotel. A talent not to be missed. After taking a 10 year break from the scene, he's back and blazing through radios in people cars, playlists and making appearances again with a whole new variety of genres, dynamics twists and tricks.

I am a songwriter, musician, lyricist, and recording engineer, and I have over 700 original songs copyrighted with The Copyright Office of Washington D.C., and I am always writing more. I fuse electronic sounds with real instrumentation to create a unique blend of genres and cross-over styles in my songs. I compose every style of music, studied classical music and jazz at UCLA, and studied electronic music at UCSC. I also compose multilayered upbeat electronica for both dance and listening pleasure, and am seeking more streaming exposure and opportunities on all and any platforms via collaborations with playlist curators. Currently, I am an artist using CD Baby as my digital music distribution aggregator, and I am streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, You Tube Music, Napster, iTunes, Amazon Music, etc... 

I have been writing songs on the piano, synthesizer, and in DAW based recording environments for over thirty years, and draw inspiration from such artists as: Lady Gaga, Maroon Five, Epica, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Alicia Keys, Sting, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, Emerson Lake and Palmer, King Crimson, Van Halen,The Beatles, Kate Bush, Rush, Jason Mraz, Katy Perry, Lilly Allen, Dream Theater, Musical Theater, Genesis, Van Halen, Squeeze, Yes, The Talking Heads, The Cars, David Guetta and other EDM artists, among many others.

Additionally, I've performed at Carnegie Hall as Principal Trumpet Soloist, toured Europe in a Symphony, played at Vatican City, was the featured trumpet soloist at The 1982 Reno Jazz Festival, compose musical theater professionally, and compose songs for up-and-coming artists, as well as established artists. Currently, I also perform at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium each year as Principal Trumpet Soloist in The Watsonville Symphony.
