Encargado de los recursos electrónicos virtuales (secuenciadores, sintetizadores, cajas rítmicas, loops, bajos electrónicos, etc), guitarra de estudio. Teclado MIDI/USB de estudio. Vocalización de algunos temas. Fotografías. Conceptos de los diseños gráficos.

Reseña:

El Taller Clandestino es un proyecto musical de estudio que nació en el año 2006 cuando su fundador, Ernesto Velasco, quiso crear música fuerte, pero usando elementos electrónicos principalmente. Para lograr aquello, tomó como referencia al metal industrial (básicamente Rammstein y Nine Inch Nails), y otros géneros relacionados.

En el 2006, presentan en el programa radial “Prohibido Prohibir” (conducido por Mayra Benalcázar) un demo con cuatro covers de baladas del recuerdo, pero adaptados al estilo que el grupo intentaba fusionar. La respuesta del público fue muy buena, al punto de que fue catalogado como uno de los proyectos sónicos más solicitados en el 2006 en el mencionado programa.

En la actualidad, el Taller Clandestino usa principalmente a las redes sociales para contactarse con quienes deseen compartir su música, y por supuesto, para reencontrarse y comunicarse con aquellos seguidores que los escucharon en la radio, en el 2006. 

Género musical:

La base principal es la fusión de sonidos electrónicos e industriales con el rock, hard rock o metal, pero siempre abiertos a todo tipo de géneros; por esta razón, hay canciones totalmente electrónicas, otras con guitarras influenciadas en el blues o el rock clásico, o incluso con sonidos que han hecho que algunos de nuestros escuchas nos comparen con grupos como Massive Attack o Portishead.

Letras:

No tienen lineamiento fijo. Pueden ser claras y directas, o bien, más complejas y de tipo autobiográfico e introspectivas. 

Relación con el mundo:

Fiel a su nombre, el Taller Clandestino procura mantener un perfil bajo e interactuar con quienes realmente deseen su música.

...which causes the following associations: the bubbles swirling slowly uncoiling helicopter blades. It is felt the work of a watchmaker. Rhythm is maintained decaying and growing vibration. The track has a distinct shape, looped development. In size lit's alike trip-hop.
One can hear a pilingator's uneven rhythm. It includes somewhat engines, which appear quite like a contact with another forms of mind and life.
«My pl track 4» is the transfer of acoustic avant-garde in electronic sound environment experiments. While listening to this track on's being embraced by the feeling of being in the the submarine premices, the noise passes through a metal hatch, one can hear the song of a hollow metal and water.

Beyond the uncanny is the sublime. 

My work is the culmination of fourteen years of art education in which I continuously found myself drawn to German Expressionism, Dada, and the Romantic Painter Casper David Friedrich.  The songs that I create are a fusion of styles and I owe a lot of my creative investigation based on the sounds created on early Skinny Puppy albums, Cabaret Voltaire, and The Cure's Pornography.

The album covers are an extension of the music and are popular culture isotopes that have been destroyed through the use of wave generators.

Following graduation in 2003, I found myself working in the style of Mike Kelley without really knowing who he was.  I found the uncanny negated itself too often and left me feeling hopeless.  So, my current work is in hopes of moving past the uncanny.  To live in the now and return to the sublime.
