GHEIST are a Berlin-based production and live band, who’ve been conquering some of the city’s best known dancefloors one party at a time for the past three years.  They’re also regulars at one of Berlin’s landmark venues, Watergate, where they kickstarted the project, and since have experienced a meteoric rise, wowing audiences across the globe with their rich and emotive sound. Fusing progressive with house and techno textures, the German natives have forged a deep, melodic sound of their own, which is melancholic and euphoric in equal measure. 

The four-member band, who have played a number of clubs and festivals, have built a reputation as a versatile group, alternating between a full-on live performance and a hybrid DJ set. 

As every good live act, GHEIST’s prowess in the booth stems from their incredible studio productions, which have landed them on various imprints, including Sasha’s seminal Last Night On Earth and Solomun’s DIYNAMIC.

As a natural continuation of their artistic vision and sound aesthetics, GHEIST launched their own imprint, Radau Records, in April 2018. Radau, meaning “noise” in German, gives a more intimate feel to GHEIST’s delicate yet powerful sound, as every aspect of the release  – from the sound production to the artwork – is created by GHEIST themselves.

Just a few months after joining the People & Machines artist roster, GHEIST landed their debut release on DIYNAMIC, Arrival EP, and played their first gig at Solomun+Live at the sun-kissed Destino Ibiza in July 2019. With more exciting releases on the horizon and an increasingly busy touring schedule, it’s clear that we’ve yet to see what GHEIST are really capable of.

Mark’s dramaturgic compositions are always tailored to his audience. His experience and the broad skillset Combined with his empathy for the crowd and his innovative twists create a unique Sound journey - a journey best told in time.

Mark’s passion and expertise: staying strongly connected with his audience trough storytelling in longer sets.Mark Jackus started his DJ career as a 15 year old teenager.
He was resident DJ at UNIT Club & PHUTURE CLUB (beside D-Nox), Trigger club and more in the mid 90s, under his old alter ego aMaZe.
He discovered his undying love for electronic music in early stages but that has never stopped Mark from always exploring new paths. He was craving something that hasn’t been available then. 
A shortcoming in Germany in diverse house music led to his initial career take off: creating and managing his own events and club nights.
His significant high class bookings such as Jeff Mills, DJ Pierre, M.A.N.D.Y., Ida Engberg, President Bongo (GusGus) or Tyree Cooper stood out and were influential encounters in his career. 
This trailblazing impulses led to career defining collabs with Joi Cardwell, Tom Pooks, George Morel or  Nakadia.
Today, almost three decades later, his sound is an established but unique journey through different
electronic music styles - a diverse mix through House, Acid and Deep Techno. 
Mark’s most outstanding releases so far are “Hello My Friend” with the Lithuanian Band Golden Parazyth on Groove On Music, especially the remix from Miami House Legend George Morel, and a version of “In the night” on Noir Music, remixed by Timo Maas and Tiger Stripes, which both proved to be very successful on an International level.
Back in 2006 he created CusCus. An event series that brings attention to the protection of wildlife by raising money in collaboration with WWF. A personal and deep rooted passion that was awarded in 2009 by UNESCO as an innovative and sustainable idea, way before it became an inflationary term.

In 2013 Mark relocated to Berlin, the epicenter of electronic music, where he draws his inspiration from all kind of sources in this melting pot of creativity. But what he loves most: being close to his audience by playing regular shows in his favorite clubs like Sisyphos, Salon zur Wilden Renate, KitKatClub, Suicide Club, Fiese Remise, Chalet and Crack Bellmer.

Later in 2014, he signed on Noir Music, where his music gets international chartings & global support by Stereo MC´s, Shlomi Aber, Animal Trainer, Richie Hawtin, Satoshi Tomiie, Mark Night, Steve Lawler or Superflu, just to name a few.

More recent milestones that shaped Mark’s career was his vinyl release party of “In the Night” in 2015 at Opium Club in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was a great success which led to a South East Asia tour through Koh Samui, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. This tour ended with a big bang and personal life goal: a show with no other than Sven Väth at his World Tour 2016 at RCA Live in Bangkok.

Since then he toured at least once a year through Asia, also played at Wonderfruit Festival and become a regular DJ at Saigon´s finest "Lighthouse". His releases are almost charted by the best DJ´s in the World,  „BODYJACK“ come out on his own CusCus Music 2018 (Beatport charted by DJ SKIZZO) 

In 2021 he released GLOW EP on Lucidflow with Dejan Milicevic Remix and in 2022 there will be released special Remixes from G-Man aka Gez Varley (LFO) and D.Diggler (Cocoon/ Raum...Musik, Resopal)
